I am not a morning person and it seems like I'm trying to set a record of how long I can stay in bed on vacations! I remember in my sophomore year I would even get up at 3AM and turn off my alarm clock because I cannot stand the blaring sound of an alarm in the morning. My mom even thought that my alarm clock was broken for a while because it never went off. I can sleep through the television, as long as the sound is muted, so I immediately turn my alarm off when it rings but turn on the TV and turn up the volume loud so I won't fall asleep again.

But the real nuisance isn't waking up. It's convincing myself that going to school is actually a legit reason for getting out of those nice, warm bedsheets.

A fine way to wake up quickly is to make someone pour ice cold water on you r face in the morning.

Another way is to forcibly stand up as long as you have stod up, you probabily ain't going back.

And also place the alarm at a place wich recuiers that you stand up and do some complicated stuff to turn off the alarm.

I wake up tired. I'll usually go to sleep around 1-2am and wake up at 7:45am (ish) on a college day and about noon-1pm when it's not. Unfortunately this is always the case no matter how many hours I stay awake. It even takes me about 45mins to an hour just to fall asleep! When I do wake up though I'll just go have a shower and grab a coffee. I find eating something like a piece of chocolate very useful upon waking because it gets the saliva flowin'.

I would add some humour to this post but it's 1:11am. So sorry about that XD.

Wake up with cellphone alarm at 5:55 AM and run to the shower for two reasons:

1. I have a necessity to stay clean, with washed hair and smelling good. Just because I'm a fucking metrosexual.
2. There is a war at home concerning who will get to the bathroom first. My mates normally poo at the morning and the smell is deadly, so I cannot let it happen.

It's probably because you aren't actually getting enough "restful" sleep. You can sleep a lot...but if you aren't actually getting rest from it you'll always feel tired...I know that from first hand experience.

I have a terrible back and if I happen to sleep in the wrong position my back will end up causing me pain all night...thereby eliminating any possible "rest" I may get from my sleep. And yeah...on mornings after that I wake up not only super tired but in terrible pain too ='(.

I have trouble getting out of bed too. I went out and bought 3 alarm clocks and placed them just out of reach so I won't hit the snooze button. The alarm clocks are set so they will ring about 1 minute after another so I just get a blast of noise in my face lol

This stopped working when I got used to it though XD So I just gave up and set my entire schedule in the afternoon.

It's kind of odd, but I tend to wake up about 5-10 minutes before my alarm goes off. Even if I change my sleeping schedule, it only takes me at most a couple of days before I've adjusted and I'm able to wake up right on time again, without the need for an alarm. The funny thing about this is I'm not really a morning person. After I do get up, I'm still groggy until I've had some caffeine or something.

I usually would go to sleep at 5 and wake up 25 minutes before my first class, which is going to change (next week) to going to sleep at 10 PM and getting up at 4AM every day to go to work... just like last summer.

So that means setting three alarms, each 2 minutes apart from each other, all of which I have to get up and out of bed and walk across the room to turn off. Then a shower and a couple of bowls of cereal and I'm good to go for the next 10 hours. :D

I cannot wake up early (only with alarm). Maybe after 9 hours I can but my body still wants to sleep. If I have a free day, I sleep more, maybe 10+ hours.

I wake up hearing Voices by Disturbed (it's my alarm sound in my cellphone). I wake like 50 times per morning in it. Because when I go sleep, I want to wake up early and when I wake up, I want to sleep 5 more minutes. I usually wake up around 9am instead of the 6am I first set my alarm for. ._.

So that's why! I've been wondering why I always sleep for 12-14hours a day, only to wake up supertired. Had a bad back since I was around 10 or something, seems to run in the family :p

NEETs (No Employment Education Training) are the least desirable people anybody would want to hire and yet they are the first choice to become moderators/admins around the internet. They have yet to have established a sense of responsibility or role in society and many are plain leeches (with minor exceptions). They are given "authority" to police sections of the internet with the powers of The Judge, Jury, and Executioner. Isn't that weird?

^quite the necro there.

@topic: I set up 5 alarms that go off at the same time throughout the house. That way, I actually get up and run around the house to turn them off. It actually works.

I have an auto alarm built into me that wakes me up around 7 (unless I stay up until like 1 am) and nothing can wake me up unless you literally start beating, for example, one time when my mom was cooking a bunch of smoke came out of the oven and set off the fire alarm right over my head on the bed I was sleeping on. Then my mom was standing over me, shaking the bed as she was trying to turn it off. In the end I woke up 3 hours later to being punched in the arm repeatedly by her.

I wake up by myself around 4-5 o´clock.. I don´t know why, hehe :D
And I´m in a very good mood then, because in this time (still some time before really getting up at 6 o´clock) I can dream, I can think about everything. It´s a very important time in my life - waking up.

To the Character song "Matsutte Matsutte! Irashha~!!" by Tsuruya from The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya. Always wakes me up with a start, and I have it on the table, so I have to get out of bed to stop it before she starts singing (because for some reason that would be bad). Past that though, I often just fall back into bed, making the whole thing pointless, but damn it's effective and waking me initially.

I'm not a morning person.

I got alarm on my table which is like 4-5 meters away from my bed, so I have to stand up and walk there to turn it off.

Sometimes I'm just sitting at my bed for like 5 minutes having no clue wtf to do - if it's better to put on some clother or rather go brush my teeth or have a breakfast. ^^

I usually go to sleep at 23:30 (however yesterday I was drinking from around 10 pm to 7 am and threw my rhythm off balance, and now I'm not sleepy) and wake up at 5:30. I literally throw myself off the bed (when I hear my alarm clock, I roll to the side of the bed and well...fall to the floor...last Friday I even hit my head against the chair a bit.) and then take a lukewarm shower...I've been doing this for a while and I must say that it is working quite well...but then again there are days when I wake up at 5/6 but instead of getting up I lay in bed for an extra hour...I too am not a morning person, but I'd like to change that (thus 'the throwing myself out of bed' method). I hope someday I will be able, just to get out of bed...like a normal person...

My alarm is freaking obnoxious, so as soon as I hear it in the morning, I have to get up fast to turn it off. Then I have to force myself to stay out of bed and start moving, or else I'll just fall asleep again. I hate mornings. >(
