| one of the BEST recaps EVER. i love how they did it ~ as diary entries, with commentry from mugen and jin, which made it HILARIOUS!!!!! nothing like other boring recaps! this one was worth rewatching :D made me burst out laughing MANY times. |

| Oh God, this episode ;_; I like it how it uses the historical context to bring theme like divorce or prostitution and to set the plot. Somehow it shows some problems of the period and with one character we can see how it's difficult to be married to an idiot and to not be able to divorce. Also how it's difficult to be forced to prostitution because of the husband retardness. I don't think Jin wanted to get involved with her at first, but he couldn't help compassionate for her. She wanted to commit suicide instead of living a pretty much like slavery life, which is quite understanble, and thanks to Jin she ended up by not giving up all of her hopes. Awesome episode, one of my favorites of all times ;_; |

| Excellent episode... Really. It did have a lot of depth and it was just great to watch and everything. The ending was really moving, indeed. I liked the development in the characters' relationships as well... The bond between Jin, Mugen, and Fuu is deeper than one may have thought, and Jin must've really loved Shino enough to let her go off alone to "take back" her life, as she said... And there still was comedy in this episode somehow. XD Which is also great. Mugen and his fighting beetle that he trained. Awesome. |

| New Couples: Jin & Shino Mugen & the beetle Fu & ? Very touching episode and very well done. Had a little bit of everything, but at the core was the relationship between Jin and Shino and helping her come to her senses and stand up to that jackass of a husband, and also his decision to let her go and start to live her own life. Definitely worth watching again. |

| @SunSir me too and I think everyone else but the situation here is different. Shino didn't want to be a prostitute to begin with. Just think of the life Shino is going through. Thank God, Mugen back them up, well it's too sad Shino and Jin won't be together in the end |

| Wow, this episode was so good I forgot to update and almost wrote about ep12! Wonderful cathartic tale of unobtainable love between a down-trodden wife and a poor samurai who could never look after her with his lifestyle. Also, Mugen funny as hell with his beetle training regimen! Nice nice nice! |

| definitely one of the best episodes so far. i've never seen an episodic love story that i liked until i watched this one - it was muted, lovely, sincere, and oh man i really felt for jin. |
| Wow! It was really amazing. I have to agree with all people who say that this is the best episode so far. I've been waiting for episode like that. Earlier episodes were great, but most of them were rather light in substance, even if some sad moments were present. This episode was sad, touching and if that was not enough - rainy. I love rainy episodes. Jin for the win. (Mugen with his new pet also amazing, but in other sense) Also: Fuu and Jin? It would be interesting |

| I tried like 5 times but I couldn't form a worthy comment. This episode caught me off guard, I didn't really expect a lot from this series. I literally jumped up and cheered, sat down and clenched my fists, laughed out loud, witnessed a "BRO", cursed, grit my teeth, and finally, just felt a bittersweet smile at the end. I'll just agree with all of your comments and rate this a 5/5. Jin, Mugen and Fuu FTW! Samurai Champloo FTW! |

| The last part of this episode is one of the best scenes in Samurai Champloo. After all Jin went through to save Kohana, he decided to let her go at the end. In addition, the background music of the scene "Countless Stars" fits perfectly with the poignant last scene. |
