I was debating whether I should post this on a diff. board but whatevs

Everyday, I browse through my news feed in FB. Every minute or 2 of scrolling, I see at least a pic of a girl cosplayer that looks normal at first glance but when the caption says, "this is guy", "another trap", etc., I always wonder, "what if these "guys" cosplayers are actually pure girls but the captions are just messing with us? Could it be that the poster just like-baiting or share-baiting by posting a pic of a cute girl cosplayer and saying it's a guy?

Question: Do you think many trap cosplays we see are actually played by girls and the posters are just attention-wh0res?

additional: Big chests can be photoshopped away

I don't see a problem with it, if they look like a girl so be it.

I only think this might be a problem if you are oogling at cosplayers and fantasising about them. I don't, maybe that's why I don't care. If you are, then I suggest stop being a weirdo and stop it.
If your favourite character is Tsutsukakushi Tsukiko, you are my soul mate.

Been a long time since I've been here, I'll continue expressing myself freely and believe everyone should too.

I though this was one of Alex's threads at first, lmao.

About the matter, I don't care, tbh, it's not like I am going to fap to them or anything. If they are actually male and like to cosplay girls, well, different strokes for different folks.

Where's fucking @LoNNoL?! I loved his trap threads more than this!

Anyway, get a female costume and you get a trap. Basically that's how it should work...

I haven't really seen any trap cosplayers, there's been only one time on a thread here on MAL, a guy was basically talking about real life traps and had an example img. That's as far as my knowledge of irl traps goes.

That seems pointless. I've seen a ton of actual trap cosplayers at my local convention so I'm pretty sure they're out there and they're real.
I probably regret this post by now.

Why the hell do you care ? What would you gain if you knew they are girls or boys ? No one actually cares.

I've met like several trap cosplayers at a local convention and they seem like pretty cool dudes.

I don't really see any problems with males cosplaying female characters. On the other hand, at least in my convention experiences, female cosplaying male characters are much more prevalent. Aren't those traps too?

I have a friend who crossplays.
I found out there's strap on bodies, including breasts and abs, that crossplayers can use.
Of course crossplayers want attention too. Now my friend doesn't due to some sort of what I can only describe as "stage freight". But I know of crossplayers that want to be as popular as some of the big same gender names.

Embrace the phenomenon known as Schrödinger's Dick.
Don't worry about the details, just accept that sense of wonderment.
You'll be happier for it, I promise.

I have no problem about "trap" cosplays for I don't fantasize on cosplayers anyway.

Most cosplayers want attention. But there is nothing wrong with that. Problems come when they want to make money from modeling.

There are several people calling out "Traps" or "That's a Guy" with baseless source, so ignore them. However, once there are one comment pointing out that the cosplay's a trap and offered a substantial explanation and even a source, then that's the real thing.

For me, i don't really care about trap cosplays though. If they look good, then that's a good thing.
It's time to play the Game folks!

When there's a hole there's a way...

Honestly anyone can cosplay as whoever they want, I have no problems really, as long as they don't care and are happy with themselves, who cares, right?

Anyway, traps are love, fight me

People who crossdress for enjoyment generally aren't very good at it. After all, if it's just a hobby then that makes the person an amateur.

OT: The typical maleness of a face can also be photoshopped away. Why do you need to be so skeptical? I won't doubt that some of them could actually just be real girls, but a lot of people have a passion for crossplaying and even though most of them might look like trash the ones that actually do a good job are the ones whose photos get spread around more making it look like crossplayers on average look more feminine than they typically do which might be the root of what lead to your theory.
