| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Hmm an episode that focuses a bit on Eiichi Ootori? Wasn't expecting that but I think he's an underrated character. He and Otoya has some tense chemistry this episode. I think some of his actions reminded Otoya of who he really is. As awkward as I find the episode is, it did present Otoya's personality in a way that I haven't noticed before. |

| Eiichi Otori x Ittoki Otoya new pairing, and the way he wanted him to keep going deeper and had that true understanding of Otoya that no one else did. Incredible, and he was even hugging him and wrapping his hand on his face, and then in the song when Eiichi caught Otoya so good. Best song this season too. I wonder what happens next considering how Ittoki had to confront his true self. |

| Something they've never tried before... even the leader and boss of Heavens have different vision. That part seems brainwashed and he's conflicted when writing the lyric. His senpai and partner noticed the difference. He thinks that the smile is fake to hide his painful past about something he lost. IN song is exactly about that... Wow, ending in cliffhanger. I'm curious if the group will be broken with him like that. |

| the latter duet pairs this season have definitely been a nice change of pace because it feels like they're exploring into the characters more and presenting plot points that seem to leave an actual mark on the grande scheme of things by affecting the characters somehow. this episode was definitely interesting. there was a lot of tension which was kind of awkward, but i guess fanservice is fanservice. otoya has always been my favorite so i'm excited to see what's in store next episode since this episode wasn't as stand-alone as the others have been. after reading spoilers here and there i'm really looking forward to see more of otoya's past and how he manages the resolve the disconnect between the mask he puts on for others and who he truly is. great song too. a lot of the duets i was really looking forward to ended up being rather lackluster so i'm glad that this one came out relatively okay. |

| Welp I'm traumatized. This was the darkest episode I've ever seen. And Eiichi was acting really gay for Otoya. >__> One thing I'm still angry about with the whole talk of 'Otoya you've lost everything' and going on about his parents... But anyways this episode freaked me out way too much. This should not have happened to Otoya. It's gonna take a lot of work to put him back together after Eiichi's garbage.. |

| O shiet, did they really went path of psychological thriller in bright and colorful UtaPri?! xD I can't believe it. Anyway, this ep had rapist Midorikawa (besuto Midorikawa), serious Reiji and lifeless Otoya, so it was the best one so far for me <3 A little bit more and we'd get yandere route lolz.  Hot af, 10/10 |

He really is hot when upset, but I like Ittoki the best when he's happy! That's one of his best qualities! That jerk Eiichi just forced Ittoki to embrace a side of him that's full of sadness and dark sorrow. Hope the Starish gang can get Ittoki to be "himself" again T-T |
| Well that was a breath of fresh air. I never expected that at all. I mean, I know this season's been focusing on the boys' back stories but I never thought we'd get a broken Otoya out of it. I also actually like Eiichi, he may be an ass but he's not completely terrible. I think he's simply trying to get Otoya to confront himself and his problems head-on... and from it, he'd mature into a (hopefully) better musician. Not really the best method imo, but hey... it's anime... we need some type of antagonist in the show and it just so happens to be Eiichi. And what a day for the fujoshis, that Eiichi x Otoya was something else lol. Good for them, I suppose. xD I know this is a reverse harem and all, but this season I feel like we're missing the good ol Haruka x [insert love interest here] romantic interactions. A-1 better step up lol, give us more romance.. or at least some fluff 'cause some of us are dying out here D: Overall, it's a fairly decent episode. Also, three cheers for character development! |

| Wow... I did not expect that angst in this episode. They caught my attention at least. Lol, now I can't choose between mighty aura, lasting oneness, or next door for the best song this season. |

| Huh what the heck. Did I just watch Utapri or did I watch a psychological anime?? Definitely a darker episode than usual. And congrats Eiichi, you broke Otoya. Seriously though, the heavier BL elements aside (and why are they cranking that up in this episode, feeling threatened by Yuri on Ice?), it felt a little creepy that Eiichi had a background check done on Otoya, his duet partner. Not, you know, his dating partner or anything. Actually I can't decide if Eiichi did all that just to make Otoya write better lyrics, because he has to produce 'results' and breaking one member of Starish will definitely affect them, or a combination of the two. Next episode will surely be interesting to see what happens next; it's not everyday we see a cliffhanger used in Utapri. Song-wise, I like it, definitely one of my more liked duets so far. Not my favorite but it's not the worst. |

| It was creepy! Hell, not only Eiichi was creepy with his sudden change, it didn't end there. Gee. I'm pretty sure they're going to continue with this next episode. Damn... They destoryed my beloved Otoya :( |

| LOL, I like that no one was surprised that Otoya was late for his project meeting... :P Eiichi had such an intense beginning... LOL, "Do you believe in fate?" xD What a way to begin a conversation...and an interesting way to begin a friendship. This was my first time seeing Otoya intimidated :P I totally agree with Nagi when he said to Eiichi, "You're creepy when you're in a good mood." AN ICY PRACTICE ROOM? xD omg... Reiji noticed how Otoya was too...I like that he approached the STARISH members to discuss it! :) LOL! I love the chibi characters that surfaced when everyone envisioned Eiichi with a bomb while Otoya is eating xD "-__________- Should I even be surprised that Eiichi had an investigation report on Otoya?? I don't like that Eiichi dug into Otoya's past without considering how much his feelings could have been damaged. How was he able to say, "You've lost a lot of things. Your father, your mother, the people who raised you, a warm place to belong. Everything you wanted is gone" so calmly?? From the little snip-lets, I'm guessing the woman with braided hair and who patted Otoya's head on a hospital bed is his mother. But ever since he was little, he lost his family and all he could do was watch others (e.g. a woman (mother) holding hands with two kids (her children) home from school)...or wait for his own mother on the swing. Otoya wanted to belong somewhere. The sunflowers must represent a joyful period of his life. He experienced a funeral alone - his mother's. After that funeral, his memories of the sunflower field reminded him of his mother and momentarily forgot about them. It was scary to see Otoya's internal struggle... The responses he pictured when he no longer smiled...it was scary :( That gaze from Otoya at the end was haunting!! >< |

| Ok, this is the very first time in this entire series where I went, "No! My baby!" towards any of the characters. I just want to hug Otoya and make him feel better. Poor baby =( Eiichi is such a bully and I really wanted to punch him. That bastard. |
