| I really get why Luffy hates these men, and why he loves Usopp. Luffy is disgusted at the idea of being a pirate to get what you desire. Being a pirate is what Luffy desires. And for him, being a pirate is not a tool but an ambition. It's not about the treasures or the fame. It's about the experience, trying hard for what you desire, shared greatness with your nakama. An Usopp is a shy but a brave men. Ain't no pirate gonna disrespect that. |

| while the villagers act like usopp is a burden to them, he's really the glue that sticks the village together and their daily lives are disrupted without his lies... nice touch |

| Usopp is definitely my favourite character so far. I'm happy he is joining Luffy's crew. The disbandment of Usopp Pirates was sad. I hope he returns home when those kids are grown up and have pursued their own dreams. |
