Im bored ive seen loads of films in the past few days im running out of ideas theres millions, I need to narrow my search than just randomly clicking because the name sounds good.

any genre your favorite films obscure films you know are good like repo for example.

also what is your favorite film so far in life and why?

I think so far in life its got to be predator to be honest. off the top of my head thats what springs to my mind first. probly because it was arnie at his best cheesy action hero but with the best effects even by todays standard and in some way better IMO that preadator suit was so realistic even now you have a hard time beliveing its not an actual 7ft alien with a vagina for a face.

I agree, 500 Days of Summer is great.
I think almost everyone has seen Fight Club but if you haven't, it's pretty good.
For now we are young, let us lay in the sun and count every beautiful thing we can see.

In absolutely no order whatsoever, and with some duplicates from previous suggestions:
Big Trouble in Little China
The Little Foxes
Legend of Drunken Master
Once Upon a Time in the West
L. A. Confidential
Chushingura
They Live
All About Eve
Rashomon
Dr. Strangelove

I love Predator, too. Great action flick, and unmatched governor density in the cast.

What's the point in asking for recommendations without specifying the genre or something like that? I guess almost every movie was liked by at least a few persons so pretty any movie can be recommended this way o.o' anyway, for those who think "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" is a good movie, I suggest "Hero", from the same director, Zhang Yimou, and if you liked that, then watch also "Rashomon" from Akira Kurosawa.

Here are some movies that people, for some reason or another, haven't seen, but are excellent:
The Boondock Saints (incredible movie, my favorite obscure film, because every minute is amazing. Except for one scene that has Willem Defoe making out with a dude.)
The Sixth Day
Bad Company
Baptists at our Barbecue
Breach
Crimson Tide
Death at a Funeral
Broken Arrow
The Librarian
The Man Who Knew Too Little (very funny movie, if you haven't seen it, watch it)
The Neighbor
Payback
School of Life
Silence of the Lambs (a lot of people haven't seen this, oddly enough)
Shawshank Redemption (same as above)
Pretty much any PG13/R Jackie Chan movie

Not sure about your tastes, so here is a good mix.

Yojimbo, The Hidden Fortress, Samurai Fiction - Awesome Jidaigeki films!!

The Three Colors Trilogy (3 movies), Amarcord - Potent/unusual european films

The Killer, Hard Boiled - ridiculous over the top Chinese gunplay goodness

Night on Earth, Raising Arizona, Léon, The Getaway - Just good movies

My all time favorite film has to be Yojimbo. It was probably not only my first Jidai-geki, but the first Japanese language live action I had ever seen. I was VERY obsessed with Japan at the time. My brother brought home the Yojimbo Criterion collection Laserdisc. We turned down the lights and popped that sucker in. I just about lost my mind. It was the one of the coolest things I'd ever seen. Left a lasting impression.

"The killer" is in my top 10 too. Yun Fat Chow at his best. If ridiculous over the top action is what your looking for, then I highly recommend it.
