| THIS IS A MANGA ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS ANYTHING BEYOND THIS CHAPTER. ---------------------------------------- Ah by the author of Koe no Katachi. Interesting start so far, I like the chemistry between the boy and the wolf already as a way to express the relationship of man and animal. Johann seems like he has some human behavior in him as well which is rather interesting. The narrative so far used works well with the themes too. |

| That was rather dark for a first chapter, was expecting a comfy series about a boy and his immortal wolf but obviously the author has other plans. Very interested to see where this series goes. |

| After just one chapter there's so many emotions going around, I don't know what to think or feel! But I'm definitely glad "it" came around when Joan died, so that the cover character didn't have to die alone at least. But even so, I feel so bad for the boy. This is definitely not at all what I expected, but that makes it all the more exciting. |
| Oh my God, what a chapter... that part when the kid found the crossed arrow was heartbreaking, and then of course when he passed away, meeting with all the folks... I know I'm in to something else when I almost begin to cry at the first chapter, this'll be a good ride. |

| Very sad and bittersweet ending, but I kinda saw it coming from the premise. Definitely will catch up with this since the anime is coming next season, seems promising. |
