| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Pretty tense match between Seiseki against Saku. I find it amusing at how Narukami seems to be just playing around and not being entirely serious even though he is very skilled. The headbutt shot and bicycle kick though..I gotta give Mizuki a lot of credit for trying this match. I think anxiety may have messed up Kazama's usual game..along with that injury from the beginning. However, he still did pretty well so far.  |

| Damn the game is on and its tight as hell. Mizuki put in that extra work to teach Tsukishi something and managed to give them the lead. Can't wait to see how will Saku High respond. Also both goalies were on point, especially Saku High's. |

| The gameplay is still a piss off to watch. Characterisation is good though. |
| The way the actual game itself was animated didn't seem very good, but it was still fun to watch. Mizuki got to show off more of his skills, and he even taught Tsukushi a valuable lesson as well. It looks like we'll get to see more of what Narukami can do in the next episode. |

| love how tsuka is the benchmark of what NOT to be hahahaha Mizuki has/had good father figure, that is correct. I feel for tsuka following the team to cheer <3 A lot of single person spotlight in this soccer game hahahaha Was actually scared for a sec with kazama, love him! wonder what will happen now, this is intense. |

| This show is exceptionally bad at portraying the actual sport. Not everything can have Haikyuu level animations but this is ridiculous. The game was 80% stillframes. Sure as hell won't finish this one dropped 4/10 |

| Narukami reminds me of Messi and Mizuki Ronaldo xD The episode was good Mizuki and narukami are really good players i wish Narukami was the MC cuse this protagonist is so bad....and the influence he gives to the team is just so overreacted p.p also if he continues just running on practices he wont get any good cuse in football u need more than just running like a rat on the field well taking the main apart others save this anime, also the animation of the gameplay its horrible :S even Captain Tsubasa was better for the time(1983).. | First things first, Mizuki is 7. Hell that's my number! Anyway, holy shit that ending though, Tsukamoron just understands the really most important thing there is. I hated the flashback at first, but then it was really something there, it helped me get the feels that I didn't expect at all. Best episode yet, bumped to 8/10 P.S. I thought the fps was slow. |

| Good episode, Glad that we got some actual match coverage. While the presentation of the match could still be better, It's still really fun to watch. Kazama, Narukami and Mizuki OP. Mizuki seems to be unaffected by gravity though, Chest into overhead xD Nice to see that Tsukushi received the message that Mizuki was trying to tell him, That was my favorite part. |

| What happened to you MAPPA??? You always delivered good animation not Ufotable or Shaft Levels but still high level. Still I really like the characters but it annoys me the constant mutual felations of "he is so good" "oh, that's impressive" "that's genius". I am a believer of the classic "SHOW no TELL" and then they do it right with the plays of Mizuki, Kazama and Narukami. They could have saved all that dead time in worshipping themeselves. I enjoyed the message of Mizuki, is one nice message about hard work. Mizuki is already a champion in life. |

| Finally they have animated the real match. Been waiting on how can they adapt this arc but I am somehow disappointed. Too much still frames and lots of talking and flashback maybe that somehow loses the intensity of the game. Reading this part in the manga before was enjoyable but how they adapt it is kind of meh. Anyway, I laughed at Mizuki's part when he wanted the ball. His serious face always cracks me up. He is so cute. I hope animation or the flow of the game will improve next time.. MAPPA, you can do this!!! |
| yeah, the game looked pretty bad for the most part again... it's just hard to get into the game when it's mostly still shots. mizuki's "happy" face and jump were pretty funny though. |

| Not a fan of how they animate the game play at all. Other than that I thought the episode was good. Mizuki is a just a beast and Kazama as well expecting the other team to show how beast they are next episode. |
| Most of the series have been pretty average, but this episode was pretty bad. The way they handled the start of one of Seiseki's most important match was absolutely terrible... Best part was Mizuki telepathic inner monologue toward Tsukamoto. By now, I would prefer to see and learn more about Tsukamoto’s mom, Sayuri, and the other players, than watching more of whatever I saw here. |

| Mizuki in the box was like a kid waiting for his Christmas presents to be put under the tree. That was hilarious as hell. I loved how absolutely stoic and nonchalant he was throughout. Narukami is more like Aguero than Messi. I don't get how 4 players going at him can't get the ball off him. He should be playing the U-19s for Barcelona or something. |

| Mother of god , this episode suck so bad I realy don't know what to say exactly , there were 100 wrong things in today's episode From offside , to that double kick , to the defense players saying : "MASAKA ! He can jumb ?" . Add to that at one point they showed tsuki inside the pitch , which the referee should had given him a yellow card for it . Long ass dialouges , 4 players can't get the ball , impossible moves , frozen defense players . 0/5 |

| So lemme get this straight...they'll animate a bike that doesn't result in a goal (not gonna lie it looked cool), but then they'll spend however many minutes talking about how much of a badass Mizuki is and instead of animating any of it they'll just use a slideshow, except for i think 3 or 4 frames they used to depict a header that was also saved. Like he did only what I can assume is a scissor volley (which look awesome as fuck irl) to actually score the goal, but i can't be sure because they didn't fucking animate it, just showing two still frames and then animated the spinning ball in the net. WTF |

| They rarely show series wherein the protagonist is already skilled as a player and just improves along the way. They always show sports Anime with an MC who is a total novice, makes lots of mistakes and becomes better. It's inspiring and great and all but it would be nice to see series of skilled players joining a new team and surprising everyone. Narukami is awesome. He's a short jerk but boy got skills. Also, since he's an egoist just make fun of his height, it'll crush his ego more easily than trying to overwhelm him in soccer. |

| Yep, the show still sucks at portraying football matches. Characterization is kinda decent tho. In Mizuki's case at least. |
