Jun was given a goofy face there, she looks a lot better when she's looking straight ahead here. I'm really looking forward to that CM now though.

A bit disappointed by the character designs because I preferred Take's artstyle more. Hopefully it'll look better in motion.

Cant believe there are people crying about the art style muh Take. Do you read the novel or you just look at illustrations. Look at 1 comparison and you can tell its very similar.

I'm just wondering why the Key Visual looks so much like Watanabe's usual stuff, while these designs are much more faithful to Take. But hey, I'm not complaining as we got some nice designs in the end.

I mean isnt it evident with Gatari key visuals as well. Its far more rigid and stiff in promo art but in the anime everything is soften out.

The only time ive seen Akio's design be jarring is with Grisaia since it looked like the studio didnt bother modifying the art.

Very creepy tone and the direction looks great. Surprisingly even with Akio's design in motion it still keeps its charm without looking Gatari-like.

Now im really excited for the first OVA.

I'm not too impressed with that PV to be honest. All of a sudden everything looks very monogatari-ish again, which is fine I guess as it works, but I was just hoping for something a little different in the character designs from monogatari. Well, all it means is that I won't expect too much from a visual standpoint, but I'm still hopeful that they'll get the pacing right.

Not to be so in your face but Shaft did this with Hidamari and Madoka. Despite Madoka being original they still made a great anime with a similar character design. It shouldnt be a big turn off.

Although rest of the cast looks pretty good(yaoi looks a bit like a middle schooler but eh well wtv), I am honestly disappointed with Jun's design, she looks freaking hot in original. Here she is more goofy. ;-;
Pv looks okay. Not a big fan of that music used for this setting although visuals are good enough.

I don't know why they made Jun's eyes so thin and pointed. She's probably one of the most changed in terms of design despite the fact that she probably has the most amount of illustrations in the source.
