Mkim said: My concern is less that "Estimations says that OP will last 20+ more years" and more "Oda works so much his body must already be crumbling down" I was thinking OP was close to finishing it butseing is just a bit after midway point makes me wonder if Oda will really be able to keep it up i do see your point. i was rly worried about his health a while ago but i think he got himself a good deal with releasing only 3/3.5 chapter per month (40c/y). i'm actually happy when i read that one piece will be on hiatus since oda definitely needs breaks and time for his family. i hope some other mangaka like togashi would get the same deal (or even something like 2 chapters per month) since that wouldn't cause too much stress on their bodies and still increase the amount of chapters we get. btw why and when did you think one piece was almost over? they just reached the second half of the grand line a few islands ago and there are still many unanswered questions, enemies etc |

| If they'll continue this way, it may happen... Kuroshitsuji: from 2006 (I think) Skip Beat: from 2002 Noblesse: 400 chapters~8 years (weekly) And that's the only mangas I read. And I don't see an end anytime soon By the way: there was at least one manga complete after thr mangaka's death (Itazura na Kiss, though I understood not much was left) |

| Any mangaka really. But obviously I care for what I'm a fan of. Like MM! that one is a fucking shame... it was a hilarious popular masochist anime. I don't find there are enough hilarious masochist animes. Working is amazing and kind of close in the girl is afraid of men type of thing. But it's amazing for what it is. MM! was great as well for it's unique set up and characters. Not that original but, it worked. |

| I thought about this when I realized how many arcs one piece still has to go through. What if Oda died? But I guess the anime would be completed anyway based on his writings, because its such a popular anime and they wouldn't leave it like that. But the manga would remain unfinished I guess. I was also wondering when will new hxh chapters will come. It would suck if togashi died. |

| Only all the time! Kentaro Miura is obvious, also One Piece. But we do have this happen, not all the time, but often enough. With the Light, Itazura na Kiss, Osamu Tezuka (he left plenty of unfinished works, at least that arc of Phoenix was complete, but the series itself was planned to have at least one more chapter), and the rare anime example with Satoshi Kon, I don't think that film will ever come out now :( |

| That thought always lingers in my mind, which is why I usually try to read stuff that are either completed or read something like a romance shoujo which have typical and predictable endings so if the author does die, I'm not left with major plot holes left unanswered. |
