hmm don't really know what to think of it, but hopefully it does well and opens a way for more Japan/West collabs.

I think it's a fantastic idea. Netflix has a ton of incredibly written original shows.

I enjoyed their other two anime "Seven Deadly Sins" and "Glitter Force", although I watched the latter subbed (not the Netflix version). If this is going to be an anime that Netflix is co-producing rather than just licensing then this will be interesting to see. Their original TV series tend to be really good so I bet this will be really good anime if they keep it up to the Netflix standard.

If they're up to par with their original series, I'd probably watch them.

Doesn't sound bad, doesn't sound bad at all

They've produced some really good shit throughout the years (e.g. Lilyhammer) so I'm looking forward to this

I hope the anime is going to have a good seiyuu and cartoon VO actor cast

Huh. Sounds interesting so far. Guess I can finally leech off my family's Netflix.

Wonder when it'll be released.

This is probably the most hyped I've been for something in a very long time. It seems pretty promising. We'll see how it plays out.
I'm also filled with pure-hearted ulterior motives.

If this means there's going to be more anime original shows then that's really great. Although I'm not too sure about Kazuto Nakazawa. He's a great animator but as a director ehh...

Netflix actually just bought the exclusive english streaming rights for nanatsu no taizai, it had absolutely nothing to do with the production or licensing.

Well Netflix haven't renewed their Disney partnership so it makes sense to invest in creating new content to fill out the void a bit, and they've proved they can do it. Exciting stuff.

I'm excited for anything that means more anime on Netflix, though I still hope it's a show I'll actually end up liking. Good either way.

I'll just have to see it first....

Sounds interesting but the moment they start pandering to Western audiences..(We already have Hollywood, thank you very much)...

Then I'm out. So, I do wish that this will be just few and in between.. at least in the future.

America ruining foreign stuff like they usually do. I'm expecting RWBY quality shit and no japanese dub, of course.
Will watch for a good laugh.

The premise sounds interesting and Production I.G. is going to animate it. I want this!

Pretty pumped since Netflix has some pretty good originals.

I just hope it's actually decent. Would be a pretty big step towards "normalizing" anime in the west

It's tough, from what I can tell the Japanese anime industry structure is just broken, with maybe the exception of kyoani. If something like this succeeds, maybe there are lessons to be learnt for them on how to restructure their distribution methods.

As long as the studio gets creative control I wouldn't mind, but we can only wait and see.

Well it's an interesting idea atleast, might be worth the watch and even open up the possibility for other west/JP cooperation animus.

It would be cool if this collaboration did well and opened up opportunities for other countries to start making some anime.

Meaning that they contribute a minimal amount of money to the production comitee, so they can snatch the rights before anyone else. Don't expect netflix to pay most of the cost and netflix won't have much to say concerning content.

Promising but I'll remain cautious. What ever happened to that Under the Dog kickstarter anime thing?

May or may not be good. If it's like their other original series, it can be great.
