Favorite Serious arc in Gintama
| Before the biggest arc in the Gintama takes place, what is your favorite serious arc from the series? * = Not Yet Animated For me its: 10. Beam Sword Style Arc - More of Shinpachi's glasses past and more of Gintoki's and Shinpachi's brotherly relationship. Though it's not as entertaining or deep as what Gintama is capable of. 9. Shinigami Arc - A hearwarming arc with a heartwarming ending. Though it does fall weak compared to others, it's fine on its own. 8. Red Spider Arc - With this arc, we got more more of Tsukuyo's past and more Gintoki x Tsukuyo fanfictions. Not to metion it's manga-style fight sequence. 7. Okita Mitsuba Arc - The arc that actually made me cry, this arc showed more of Hijikata's and Sougo's past and gave us one of the most saddest deaths in Gintama. 6. Thorny Arc - This was Hijikata's arc. We got to know more of his childhood and him doing some crazy stunts, such as that bullet slicing part :D 5. Shinsengumi Crisis Arc - Started of with an Otaku Hijikata and ended with off with a man dying with honor, this arc represents how flawlessly Gintama jumps between genres (and what a heartless b*stard Sougo is :D). 4. Benizakura Arc - The first time Gintama slapped us in the face with deep character development, intense action and emotions. Those who kept on watching Gintama felt rewarded for not dropping this series after watching the first couple of episodes. 3. Yoshiwara in Flames Arc - The longest of all arc, this arc had a wide range of emotions and let Kagura shine with her epic fight and Kamui making his appearance. It had an emotional ending that almost made me cry. 2. Kabukicho Four Devas Arc - The first time we ever see Gintoki being angry and his relationship with Otose. Not to mention that badass ending. 1. Courtesan of a Nation Arc - We get to see more of Gintoki's past, some badass fights and Gintoki raging (and that blade break!). Not to mention it had a great comedy beginning (SHOGUN KA-YO!) | 4 Devas is one of my favorite arcs in all of anime. That arc is the greatest five successive episodes I've ever seen. |

| Well I pretty much disliked all them except for 4 Divas and Yoshiwara. And I feel about them the same, good but not great. I guess I will vote for Yoshiwara because I like Tsykou (probably spelled her name wrong) |

| 1. Courtesan of a Nation 2. Red Spider 3. Yoshiwara in Flames Basically anything with Tsukuyo in it. Red Spider is a close second for the Gintoki and Tsukuyo interactions, but Courtesan of a Nation was definitely by far the most epic arc in Gintama. Yet. |

| 4 Devas > Yoshiwara in Flames > Courtesan of a Nation > Benizakura Arc(Movie specifically) > Thorny > Mitsuba 4 Devas: Probably some of the best 5 episodes in shounen that I've seen. Everything about it was great, peak moment would probably be Gintoki's Rage mode. Yoshiwara in Flames: Has good comedy, introduced the second best Gintama Girl, Tskuyo, has an amazing fight to end it. Courtesan of a Nation: Gintoki's past is always welcome. Berizakura(Movie): The arc was what got me seriously into Gintama, the movie made me love it. Thorny: Shinsengumi vs Miwarigumi was really entertaining to watch. Mitsuba : The only (animated) arc in gintama that legitimately made me really sad, not cry though. Worst serious arc would be Beam saber arc. Not that it's bad, it's just not as good as Gintama can be. |
