My MAL Anime List Rating System Ratings are weighted mostly by enjoyment. If there are apparent issues in an anime (directing, plot, etc.), then I'll rate it thusly (i.e. CCW). (+3) 10 - Masterpiece - Favorite. I enjoyed it all the way. Everything about it was enjoyable, from the plots to the technicality (relative to release year). I just enjoyed it a lot. (i.e. Shingeki no Kyojin Season 3 Part 2). (+2) 9 - Great - I enjoyed it all the way, too, but something about it didn't make it a 10. Maybe because I see 10's more as a better "9" or a favorite. or maybe, one aspect felt less. it could be anything. (i.e. Yakusoku no Neverland) (+1) 8 - Very Good - I enjoyed it more than I expected. I'm pretty sure the plot was interesting, and the characters were too. Technicality matters if it was insane. (i.e. Jujutsu Kaisen's animation) (0) 7 - Good - If I felt like I enjoyed it, it goes here. I just enjoyed it, that's all. Plot was probably interesting I think, and the characters and such as well. (i.e. Amagi Brilliant Park) (-1) 6 - Fine - If I enjoyed only because of some aspects of it, right in this. The enjoyment factor is either could be a character or the soundtrack, or the concept of the plot, etc etc. (i.e. Gakusen Toshi Asterisk) (-2) 5 - Average - It'll go here if it kept some of my attention. One aspect probably did the job. I honestly don't know how to rate doe. (i.e. Bananya) (-3) 4 - Bad - I didn't find it appealing. It could appeal to others but not I. Plot didn't get my attention, neither did the characters, art, sound, etc. (i.e. Baccano) (-4) 1-2-3 - Very Bad - Didn't enjoy it. I may have enjoyed it, but that's because it's bad. I'll know if it's that bad that it's good. (i.e CCW, CCW, CCW) Notes Ratings of animes towards oneself doesn't equal quality. Lower scores do not mean bad. Lower scores mean unappealing, as they can appeal to other groups. Higher scores mean they appealed to you. However, ratings of animes by the community equal the general feel of the anime, not by certain groups. Lower scores mean that it can be agreed that it isn't as interesting, but certain groups can still enjoy them. Read the sypnosis instead of looking at the ratings.
