I've always wanted to play Dead of the Brain but sadly, I feel like I will never get the chance to play it, along with other Japanese games that were developed for the PC during the 80s-90s period.

I've seen pictures and gifs of the game and it really looks like a legitimately good zombie game.

Pro Yakyuu Spirits, there's a website with image translations to help play the game, but that'd be just too much for me to enjoy it.

A Japanese series called Tokyo Majin Gakuen Denki, A.K.A. "Tokyo Wizard Academy". They seem unique to me and I would really like to play them.

I once heard of Call of Duty Online or something like that. It's a free to play version of Call of Duty. Too bad it was a Chinese game. I would have loved a English version.

Off the top of my head:

Ciel nosurge
The early Atelier series games
Princess Maker series
Idolm@ster series
Sakura Wars series

The PC98 has a lot of really interesting looking games, but I'd never expect a translation for any of them. That's why I started learning the language in the first place.

There is a fan translation for VC3.

The worst besides Konami for me is Square Enix.

It's for the PC. English name is The Legend of Sword and Fairy. I played the game using partial English translation patch.

Waiting on Verve Fanworks to finish Tian di Jie Castle which is my favorite Chinese RPG.

I want an official translation. The fan translation that I've played is not even completed, sentences that doesn't make sense and overlapping words.

SE is the worst? They're not even that bad.

Can't blame SEGA for that seeing how VC2 sold... I don't need to explain how the gaming industry is a business and has to sell if you want them coming... right?

Has anyone here played Famicom Tantei Club? I'd also like someway of playing that.

I played the original on the DOS. I remember playing the up till I get my second wife and had to find my first again in the labyrinth.

I remember being amazed by graphics, Like when the ground was cut up, and scene where the wandering drunk teaches you your first sword technique of raining swords. That was brilliant.

Did you use the right version of the game? The patch is for VC3 Extra Edition. Patch does work with both versions of the game but some things will get messed up if using VC3 original. Only reason I would want a localization is if they put it on PC or PS3/4.

So many negative things to say about Square Enix. I could write a book so I won't say anything.

There was a group that did this. They would translate so much of a game on how much they got paid. I don't think it worked out but I never followed anything they translated since it wasn't in my interest.

Lady Stalker for the Super Famicom. Many people have tried to fully translate that game but have eventually failed.

It's just one of those games in the rather untouched comedy RPGs genre.

I have a pick for a really obscure one. Super Fire Pro Wrestling Special. It has one of the most shocking endings of any game, let alone a wrestling game, and was done by Suda51 (of Killer7). It has a fairly complicated storyline that chronicles your rise to the top of the wrestling world, and deals with depression, suicide, murder, really dark stuff for a game from that era. All of the characters are based on real pro wrestlers (Ric Flair, Sting, etc. mostly NWA/WCW guys but Hogan and the Macho Man are in there too). Here's a good, spoiler filled article on it.
Yeah, that caught my attention when I heard it was one of the first games he worked on.

I'm hearing there's some licensing issues going on in the Nihon Falcom camp, but still hoping for more.

Every Ys game except Ys IV Dawn of Ys and Mask of the Sun have official English release. Both of these games have fan translations.

Nearly half of the Legend of Heroes series is already out in English on the PSP. Other than the first 2 games "Dragon Slayer" series rest of the game will most likely be released by Xseed.

Incredibly obscure game, almost nothing on it here on the interwebs. This game came in my Crazy Frog racer box when my dad shopped for games in China.

I've always wanted to know what to do in this motherfucker. I've never gotten it... it's really strange.

Unlike video games, Anime hasn't become boring to me, and I'm watching more Anime now than I have in years.

I don't want to play any video games anymore, not even the older ones.

This? :P

Anyway, I would want these 3 games :

*Insert pic of ルドラの秘宝 here (Lost mine in the limbo of the internet abyss or something)*

The 2 Negima games on the GBA are great. I picked them up randomly since I liked the mangas and I'm having a lot of un with them actualy. Way more than I taught I would have. They are made by Marvelous, who might or might not be known for Senran Kagura. I really mainly want them localised/translated mainly so people can actualy enjoy them. They don't even have patch for emulation or anything ._.

Rudora no Hihou is one of the best obscure Super Famicom I've seen in a while. It's too bad no one really played it, because the soundtrack is awesome and the game is great. The magic system is (easily breakable.... by accident) but it's fun to mess with. The chance this is ever getting a re-release on anything in any language (an official one, at least) is basicaly in the negative, but I still think this would be awesome.

Edit : Oh yeah, and 聖剣伝説3/Secret of Mana 2, for basicaly the same reason as ルドラの秘宝.

Treasures of the Rudra is a good game but none of the older obscure games will ever get a re release. It's all about $ and old obscure games are not going to sell. Wouldn't even care for the offical release at this point because chances are SE will end up screwing it up. Fan translation for this game is excellent. The text in this game looks great compared to majority of the localized SNES RPG.

If anything Seiken Densetsu 3 has a good chance of succeeding if they do a remake. Secret of Mana is at least not a obscure game and it's an Action RPG which is what people seem to enjoy more now days.

But Seiken Densetsu 3 does have a translation...I played it as a kid. Not an official one, but it's good enough I think.
