Are you in a romantic relationship
| I see a lot of threads on CD about romantic relationships and dating, but I'm curious how many people are actually in a romantic relationship or even seriously trying to pursue one? I think a lot of people have really been misled to believe that they are incomplete without a lover/romantic partner and IMO it's a really unhealthy way to look at things. I definitely was under think type of thinking in my teens and it made me really depressed, lazy in my studies, prone to mood swings and I was also obese. I think we should all seek to "complete" ourselves before looking for partners, because you would be going into a relationship with a very unhealthy mindset. Needless to say I feel that I still have a long way to go before I feel I have become complete and thus romance is not a priority in my life. |

| Nope, for similar reasons as you. I don't want to search for a partner since I'm still searching for who I am myself, in a way. I'd probably just be a burden to them with the way I am now |

| No, I am not. Romantic relationships aren't really my kind of thing. I am rather cynical and I tend to rely more on that which pertains to my cognition, rather than my emotions. To me, there are no logical reasons to be in a glorified friendship with someone. |

| No, I am not in any relationship with anyone, and at 27, I have no desire to ever be with anyone. I only dated one girl in my life, 11 years ago when I was 16. I broke up with her after 8 months, because she didn't share any hobbies in common with me, and I preferred to be alone. |
