i do not expect a championship from this Bulls team still since Rondo, Wade and Butler are not 3 point shooters anyway, but i hope this team can make it to the playoffs this year

You hate him and yet a big reason Lebron returned to Cleveland was because Riley had all the control in Miami instead of LeGM.

OK...

As a big Wade fan, I like this decision. As much as I'd love to see him end his career in Miami, the Bulls roster is better for him.

I'd take Lopez/Portis, Mirotic/Gibson, Butler, Wade/Valentine, Calderon/Grant/Rondo over Whiteside, ??/McRoberts , Winslow, Wade, Dragic anyday of the week.

He is for both of them.

He gets hate for it.(mostly when he talks about GS)

Ahh.. I wasn't aware. Still, he should show some restrain specially since he wants other people to listen to what he says.

I agree, things like "Durant can be as good as Kawhi in defence" is just too much, makes his point not trustworthy.

Ray Allen reportedly eyeing a comeback and is interesting in the Warriors, Cavs, Spurs, and Clippers.
Hope he signs with the Cavs at least. But knowing him...probably gonna be the Warriors. Would hate to see one of my favorite players on this Warrior team.
Me on the other hand would love one of my favourite players to play for GS,but not like this. He just needs to sip his coctails somewhere and have a good time, not play bball.

Wade to Bulls huh? It will be sad to see him leave the Heat, his performance in the 2006 nba finals was something else but he wants the money he never got so I don't blame him.

Crazy summer, crazy FA and next year will be even more chaotic, jesus.

Haha. I guess if you put it that way, I am technically a big fan of his "work".

In all seriousness though taking away my Cleveland homerism, Pat Riley has always rubbed me the wrong way. He comes off as a ruthless, selfish, sleazy, hypocritical slime ball that will say (and do) anything to get what he wants. From the way he handled leaving/fucking the Knicks to LeBron's handling to Wade's contract negotiations, the guy has never really shown to be a man of "integrity" and "loyalty" but that is all that he (and especially the media) spout off about and trumpet to us all. He's just such an obvious hypocrite but gets a pass all the time because he's Riley. He definitely thinks that his shit don't stink.

I'm just glad that something big backfired in his face (again) and that he maybe gets the message that everything in the world doesn't revolve around him. I do genuinely feel awful for Heat fans as they deserved to have Wade be a Heatlifer. They and Wade deserve much better. However, Riley is just such a snake to me and I feel that he finally got his very deserved comeuppance. I just hat people like that.

However, Riley is just such a snake to me and I feel that he finally got his very deserved comeuppance. I just hat people like that.

Again, I'm going to try my absolute hardest to be rational when saying the following...

IMHO, there is very little Riley could've done to keep Lebron in Miami.

Lebron wanted power and he also wanted a better cast of players which at the time the Heat didn't have.

As for this situation, let's try to leave emotion at the door and calmly think about the FACTS...

Wade is an injury-prone player, he's got bad knees, he can no longer compete at the highest level, he's literally in his twilight years as a basketball player.

Can he contribute and get his points? Of course.

But, you really think someone like Wade deserves $50 million for 2 years?

SURE...to keep the fanbase happy he does, and to keep him as a Heat-Lifer he does.

I WANTED the Heat to give in.

But is that the smartest move from the standpoint of the team?

To bring them to their knees financially and then eventually crippled like the Lakers.

Look what they did, they gave Kobe an absurd amount of money for the sake to keep the fanbase happy and keep him as a Laker Lifer....

Was that worth it????

No one wants to play for LA now....the Clippers of all teams are much more desirable than them.

I HATE ALL OF THIS!

I hate that Wade has to leave and I HATE that ultimately it might have been the right choice not to give him all that money.

I'm glad I don't make these decisions, because there is no doubt MOST Heat fans today are VERY UNHAPPY.

He didn't really say it like that though.

He did say this was the harder route, but not in the way of a championship, but rather the way of environment. He will be living in a totally different area, with a totally different crowd of people, who may have a totally different way of looking at things. I haven't lived in Oklahoma but I'm sure it's a much more rural and conservative environment than it is out here in the Bay. Plus he has spent a good portion of his life living there, so in that way this really was the harder road. Not to mention all the people that are going to vilify him now.

After the press conference I must say I have gained a lot of respect for him. Not doing what everyone else wanted him to do and making his own decision, and living with the consequences of it.

Please, he'll be fine. Won't take him more than a few months to get used to living in the Bay. Not to mention he's going to be on the go anyway most of the time. He is just using the environment as an excuse for himself. Hardest road would be joining a team like the Sixers lol. Not a team with a great front office, 3 other all stars that you're buds with, still a good bench, and a proven coach.

That Denver and Minnesota summer league was intense. Dunn is gonna be amazing, and Denver has so many young talented guards with Mudiay leading the pack.

Dunn looks like hes going to be a special player. I thought that he could have went top 10 in last year's draft had he declared. Rubio should eventually be playing backup to this guy.

Dunn looked really impressive. Probably going to be ROTY. Twolves needs to trade Rubio asap to give this kid more time to shine.

Thon Maker also looked good, not bad for a 30 yr old rookie:S

Simmons back in the Utah summer league also looked fine. He was exactly as advertised. Great basketball iq, handle, passing and a good rebounder but his offense needs some work. He looked like a 6'10 Jason Kidd imo. He's going to be a triple double machine if the 76ers can surround him with the right players.

That sucks. They'd probably be the worst team next season and what sucks even more is that the Celtics can swap draft picks with them. #feelsbadman

Goodbye, Tim Duncan.

It's hard for me to say this because, for as long as I have been watching and playing basketball, you were among my favorite players.

I loved how you always stayed the same, no matter what.
I loved how committed and loyal you were to your team.
I loved how you were the most selfess athlete the NBA will ever see.
I loved how you literally had no flaws in your game.
I loved how you always treated your opponents with the utmost respect.

Honestly, if I wasn't a diehard Celtics nerd, I would wear your number 21 every day of the week.
