Saying shit like "I like your shoes" will turn you from a potential love interest (assuming you were) into a "friend I can take shopping". Does this always happen? No. But, and I know I will get hate for this, but women don't have a "gaydar". That is just the easiest way I can put it. I have complimented women on clothing in the past and more than once I have been assumed as "gay" because of it. I feel like this probably goes both ways very easily, but being a man, I have never experienced the reverse. (Also apparently, according to feminists on the internet, it is very sexist to compliment a girl on her looks, I have never had a problem going down this road, but then again I don't really give compliments on people's looks who I am not dating. I dunno why, it just feels weird, probably cause I am weird.) |
