What fictional monster never gets boring for you?

Sasquatch, Godzilla, King Kong, Loch Ness, Goblin, Ghoul, Zombie with no conscious?

Of all the monsters that have lived in fiction for decades, what kind of monster never gets old for you?

Please no answers like "Humans" or "The dark side of our minds" or dark edgy shit like that.

Darn, I was totally going for the Boogeyman.

In that case, Frankenstein's monster. Was always a cool idea that we could electrocute dead bodies to make monsters.

Reanimated mummies and corpses. I know it's kinda lame and generic, but ever since I was a kid I've always had a fascination for them, and I still think they're spooky if done right.

When that guy in The Mummy awoke from his tomb... man, that's some creepy shit. Or the redeads in Zelda OoT and MM.

Dragons, witches, werewolves, ogres, and cyclopes.

edit: wow, I forgot my #1 favorite: Death. As in the Grim Reaper, in case somebody doesn't notice the capital 'D'.

I've never seen a good mummy movie but I do admit their general appearance is pretty unsettling.

I genuinely get a little spooked with the whole "Living Dead" concept as well. Despite how joked about zombies are now, I still find that shit creepy when it's not being used ridiculously

Pretty much all of the giant monsters, especially Godzilla (and it's knockoffs), and any giant insects and spiders.

Yeah, I just love pictures of decaying mummies and corpses. They're so ominous, grotesque... and beautiful.

Some of them are cute, too.

It was pretty meh, there's barely any action between Godzilla and the monsters and well, Godzilla only appears like 5 times? not worth it imo.

I enjoy most of them except for the swamp thing. He never did seem interesting to me as much as werewolves, undead, monsters or goblin-type things.

Agreed. This is even the case with some types of goblin/ghoul type creatures. It needs to take itself seriously for me to do the same.

Zombies and anything to do with consuming. Vampires and all the multitude of varieties that come along with it.

Or deep sea water creatures. The ocean is always filled with crazy things.

I have always been frightened of what sort of things could live in the ocean. D:

Like a huge sea monster or something.

But at the same time, I have a dangerous curiosity to find out.

Succubus and Incubus probably, it is interestingly act as a reflection of human promiscuous nature and the battle between morality and the 'animal' inside us.

Despite the deep symbolism they represent I still can't help but laugh when I see a succubus equipped with a throbbing penis

I can never get tired of zombies. I used to be legit scared of them as a kid, but now I'm like absorbing what I denied myself as a child. I even feel like writing a story about them.

Have only read Perdido Street Station by him, but yes yes yes. The Weaver and the slake-moths are easily some of my favourite monsters.
I also oddly like the Jorogumo. Something about a sexy spider woman has always struck me as super cool.

Skeletons. I'm being pursued by skeletons constantly, it's scary.

Once I saw someone get bit by a skeleton, and then when they died they turned into a skeleton.
