| If that dream of Fubuki wearing the white dress expressing her "love" to the incompetent teitoku is a outright sarcasm to the fan base, that would give me a new respect for the production team; not only they are so detached from what the fans wanted, they have the balls to tell their fans "Yes it is what I thought you all wanted, I'm so genius!" if not, that's still a sloppily done scene that someone has the brilliant idea of after hearing the word "waifu", so why not put the Kanmusume in the white dress? It's insultingly bad. It can't be redone. Besides the lack of passion and dedication from everyone involve in the production we also have to bear the embarrassingly and stupidly made business practice by someone who clearly doesn't understand a bit about otaku culture and storytelling still have to leave his shit stain everywhere it's easily the worst anime of this season. That is the death of an anime, the people making it doesn't give a fuck. How hard it is to make a show like what you said "70% SoL, and 30% action"? Please, whoever made that call to kill off Kisaragi stay away from the anime industry forever, we don't need you. OP-kun and ED-kun deserve better. |

| Anticlimactic remodel is anticlimactic. Ok, so Fubuki manages to defeat one wave of enemies out of the 20 times she got her ass handed to her. That's not really comforting if she's going to be an escort. Admiral why. You have Shimakaze, Kongou, and the perfect Nagato there, why waste time on Fubuki. It's a shame they made Mutsu yuri-fied. It's such a waste. It was an ok episode. Kind of "eh". |
| All that hype for nothing. Well Fubuki wouldn't be Fubuki if Fubuki's apperance was changed. However, the least she could have gotten was a bit more armor and weapons. That level grinding, Fubuki has that determination that no one else has. She's like forget the sinking, I'm going to get stronger regardless of the consequences. Akagi ftw Nice new side of Akagi. It's not always a quiet and relaxed Akagi. Here she was dead serious. She told Fubuki to stand up which surprised Kaga as she's the one who told Fubuki to take the test. |

| I believe that Fubuki deserves a better remodel than she has now. Its definitely underwhelming. I know that what her Kai Ni 2 looks like but I was hoping the anime staff would deviate from it and make it what a remodel should be like Yuudachi. |
| I wonder whos gonna sink in the next two episodes. Cause its not really gonna matter cause there was ZERO character development in anyone other then Fubuki. As long as none of the kids get sunk ill be fine. |

| I honestly like this episode. Blame my yuri fetish since I ship Kaga/Akagi so hard and will not let a single scene of those two slipped. I'm actually a little disappointed too with Fubuki's remodeling. It turns out...the same. But, nontheless, I still like her :) even though I still think it's a little unfair when Yudachi's remodel was much more interesting. So.. next episode will certainly have death flags. I need to prepare my #shipperheart... |

| Reading this thread almost everyone was disappointed with fubuki's remodel. I thought people already knew that she isn't going to change much because of the game. Anyway her Anti Air stats is high so she should be able to help. Good episode, now I'm going to put fubuki in my main fleet! |

| It kind of felt like Fubuki wasn't the only one trying too hard in this episode. Not a bad one, but several aspects seemed off, especially Fubuki's suicide run on that abyssal. But more importantly: AF was the Japanese code for Midway. As soon as that was mentioned, I was looking for those death flags. Either they largely follow history and we get a very bloody battle with multiple characters going under without hurting the abyssals much, or they finally break from history. It'll be interesting to see which way it goes. |
| The Battle against the Abyssals went a bit quick, but was very good nonetheless. Pretty amusing that Fubuki was expecting her remodel to be very different like Yuudachi's. Seeing her reaction to her slightly different look and an obvious glance at Yuudachi's breasts was funny. XD Speaking of Yuudachi, sad that she didn't say 'Poi' that much compared to last week. D= |

No, you're pretty up to speed. The details on the origins and motivations of the Abyssal Fleet are largely unknown. Heck, the developers probably don't even know what their deal is. They're just a stand-in for America (and to a lesser extent Australia) because putting the actual Allies would be a) a lot more work since they'd have to make dozens more ship girl designs than they have for the Abyssals as-is (Wo, Ru, etc.) b) a bad idea in general because killing the really popular ship girls (Akagi, Tenryuu, Kongo, etc.) would piss off the fans and the Allies losing would be a PR nightmare. A couple exceptions are the ship girl Abyssal designs like you said, but it's mostly the USN. I'm 90% certain that Wo herself is USS Yorktown. Strike Witches got away with the Neuroi because it had girls from Axis and Allied nations fighting them, but this anime is pure Japan. Still wish the Kriegsmarine would show up, though. *Sigh* Bismarck, Prinz, U-511... On topic: They've shown the victories so far, the true test of this anime is if it will show the defeats. It'd be great if Midway was a two-part finale where the ship girls lose horribly and have to deal with the loss of Akagi, Kaga, Soryu, Hiryu, and Mikuma in the last scene, steeling themselves for the future battles that season 2 may bring. |

| Do you really think we will get a dark ending? After the curry episode and loli Destroyer sol, this show should end in a positive way. Also it would be very disappointing to let the Abyssals win, since we learned and heard nothing about them in this anime. |

| Episode that good or evil succeeds in its aim to entertain, with a narrative quite interesting and with a plot construction, although at times were a little anticlimatici. Characterization is not very deep, but it was not a waste of time anyway. Quality of the drawings sufficient, animations average. I hope can improve the texture and narrative in the coming episodes. |

| This was an enjoyable episode. It had just about all you could want in it. Humor, yuri undertones, battle, character growth, etc. So it's probably one of the better episodes! Hope the next 2 can keep up this quality! |
| Fubuki's Kai form was disappointing! I thought she will look more badass/beautiful. I feel reluctant to watch the next two episodes with all of those death flags. Please don't hurt all of those poor ships |
