| Nana, by far the best Romance anime out there. You don't have to wait for love confessions, kiss scenes or even implied intercourse scenes. On top of that it is one of the most realistic romance anime's i have come across. It's characters are totally human and they actually make mistakes when it comes to relationships, it's not some stupid love triangle or harem. |

| I second burnlettuce's rec of NANA and bagonirix's rec of Romeo X Juliet (based on a most famous romantic play). ef series, or Lovely Complex for a more comedic approach. Honey and Clover for more realism. The following are fairly short: Hoshi No Koe Baby Blue-Genius Party. Watch this one - find a copy and watch this one. |

| I really can't see which portion of NHK has romance in it. Maybe I should re-watch it again. Anyway a couple of good ones this year: Clannad ~After Story~, Toradora, Kimi ni Todoke, Spice and Wolf. Other superb ones include ef, nodame, special A. |

| I lol'd through this list. Half aren't even romance (or very very little) and the other half are already on her list ^^; So, after careful searching, I have chosen Pretear. It's 13 episodes so you can't really go wrong. Its a very heartwarming story about love gone wrong, new love, and existing love. |

| REC is really short but really good. Also if you want like REALLLY sappy but good romance check out ef- a tale of memories.ummm bokura ga ita is good if you like slice of life. If you want something a little more subtle in the romance (but still about love) check out honey and clover. victorian romance emma is ADORABLE (both seasons) too. |
