| My friend suggested that i should watch Mawaru Penguindrum...Reading the plot it didn't strike me to be that interesting especially those penguins seemed a little childish if you know what i mean :D...I like dark mystery anime that need a head scratch, so should i watch it? |

| Penguindrum is very artistic/psychological/deep/etc and not childish in any way. It is very absurd however but in a very unique and original way. Totally worthwhile imo. |

| I finished watching it about a week ago. It's quite "interesting" to say the least. It's a pretty good series, though, if you're not paying 1000000000000% Attention you'll get lost. I had to read the explanations on MAL and other forums to understand what even happened. |

| Imo a big part of understanding Mawaru Penguindrum (symbols, subtext and general interpretation) is lost is you haven't seen Utena first, so that would be my advice: watch Utena before you watch Mawaru Penguindrum. |

I must disagree with you here, sometimes a mediocre plot with the right atmosphere and direction make the perfect anime, for example when i first read steins;gate plot i said to myself "now they use Phone Microwave to get back in time? what a waste" and when i watched the anime i was utterly shocked and it became one of my favorites of all time. |
