| What a great episode. Was about to say this wasn't as strong as the first episode, but I was still enjoying it with seeing how useless those penguins are and how the flow of the episode is going. From how people interact with each other etc. One of them is seriously a panty sniffer. xD Then came the end of the episode where they gave me some plot mode and it was great to see. Beginning to think I like where this going now. |

| This was pretty bad compared to the first episode, and I found myself watching the timer on the media player to see how long til it was over. If it doesn't redeem itself next week I'll probably drop this and lighten the Thursday load a bit. |
| This was another totally brilliant episode! It appears that we have a very black comedy on our hands here. It's interesting, the penguin hat was less confident this time. Maybe there is more of Himari in it than we first thought. BTW - I'm betting that the red-haired and blue-haired dancers in the ending animation are the brothers. This series looks to be the best of the season!!! |
| This episode reminded me of the hilariously awful, yet fun to watch surfing elephant and magical curry episodes from Utena. Even when Ikuhara does pointless nonsense in a show he comes up with something entertaining nonetheless. |

| The show is starting out pretty slowly but I'm still getting the vibes that bigger things are to come, a la Durarara!! But I'm confident that unlike Durarara!!, it won't just amount to something as underwhelming. Also, we got more of the penguins this episode which is exactly what I wanted. Must. Get. Plushie. |

| I found this episode to be pretty hilarious. Seems like Ringo's diary might be the penguindrum? It seems to have penguins written all over it and she mentioned destiny and fate alot so perhaps it is able to predict the future??? nomnomnom |

| Admittedly, this episode was not as great and heavy as the first episode, but for some reason I still really liked it. I found the penguins to be really amusing and nonsensically hilarious. Stalker girl sure is creepy, going to such lengths . So far, this is my favourite anime of the summer season, even though I have no idea how it's gonna turn out (or perhaps precisely because of that). |

| She poo'd stars. I was quite amused watching this. I was also excited to hear Ishida Akira. He is totally worth stalking :D Even after her building climbing stunt, I wasn't prepared for that level of crazy from her.. I look forward to that blowing up. |

| luv that teacher and that stalker girl ahahaha. those penguins are so cuteee i laughed out loud whhen he was eating the shrimp tempura out of that girls bento. the penguindrum is obviously the diary. its shown in the first part of the opening after all. also, it appeared to lay out fate for that girl to play out. himari, shoma and kanbas situation is all about changing fate so i think it makes sense. some how. kind of. i love this series so far. the art is beautiful and dat transfomration sequence weee. its like ginga bishounen but 10000000000000x better!! |

| Good combination of comedy, mystery and randomness. Seriously, that penguin hat transformation is so random... but awesome. Looks like a keeper, as long as they don't stray into weird incestuous brother love. |

The plot is pretty confusing so far, but I'm liking it. I wonder what kind of creepiness we shall experience next week ;) |

| So now we have a stalker girl too? She seems like the most interesting character so far, and the first indication that maybe, just maybe, that at least the side characters can live up to their Utena equivalents. Of course, any bishounen sensei who is into birdwatching is automatically awesome in my book, but still? Also Kenji Miyazawa gets name-dropped. Give me more of this, please, and stop teasing us, Ikuhara. EDIT: Did I mention that the blonde girl in the OP gets a cameo alongside the penguin girls in the magazine that Himari was reading when the teacher rang? |

| Fuak that was so good. So good. This is good. Fuak! So the Penguin Drum is that stamp that allows you to decide on fate? Or is the diary a diary that has fate written in it? If this shows goes on to be as good as these first two episodes, might be hitting my top 3-5. EDIT: So far, my favorite this season alongside Usagi Drop. |

| so funny ....all the scenes with the penguins....they are so cute and i don't think the show is so random, if this is random what are you gonna call Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei? it's just that we don't know the plot yet, but we'll have to be patience. the show it's awesome, can't wait for more. |
| I was going to drop this show after the first episode. So glad I decided to give it another chance. It's so creepy but interesting :) will NOT drop....unless it becomes more about naked women than random penguin madness. |

| Hahaha, episode 2 was awesome. The penguins are so cool, especially #2. This was the most most surprising show of the season (at least for me). The only thing I didn't like was the reused transformation sequence (mostly how long it was). |
