Yes of course, I often randomly shout 'moe moe kyun' at the screen when I get engaged.
I probably regret this post by now.

No more emotional than I get watching anything else; ie it depends on how invested I am in the story. I don't cry though.
Anyone who doesn't hate anime hasn't watched enough anime.

I cried hard. The opening alone made me cry. I am not an emotional person, but anime really gets me. Dunno why, it just flips a switch. I embrace it though, it feels good to cry sometimes.

It happens from time to time, like when little kids loose their parents and they're crying about it, it triggers me to start tearing up.

Wow guys, that really 'explains' to me a lot why I've been posting so many random thoughts & questions that doesn't make any sense with 'over-emotional' reaction in every anime discussion thread (CAPS LOCK EVERYWHERE) and I quote,

Well said, guys. Talk about how it really become a personal issue to me.

IF I watch any comedy, slice-of-life & sports theme anime, I wouldn't have any problem with that.

For me I was like,

Until I went over-emotional & end up as a drama king who likes to overreact things & NO Idea why I've been spamming random stuff around MAL forum which it's so random. Sorry I didn't really mean to post BIG words guys.

So I guess that is what watching anime was all about. Because everyone has a different perception after all & I shouldn't expect other people feel the same way as I do. So IMO, feeling emotionally and taking anime seriously is not bad, maybe I just have to find the way back to reality. That's just the way it does.

Very much. The only reason I was able to get into anime so much was because it was able to convey emotions that I could really only feel through anime.

I get emotional occasionally when watching anime, but I suppose it depends on the circumstances of what I'm watching and how stable I am emotionally.

When watching Evangelion 2.0 during
, I really got immersed in the movie and that part really made me tear up. I feel like the VA for Shinji did a great job.

Something less justifiable would be Anohana.
. Man. That's the first time media has made my cry officially. It was emotionally straining.

I'm a fucking robot when I'm watching anime. I show no emotions at all.
But if I finish a good anime I just have that "empty" feeling inside and I don't feel like doing anything after that.

Depends on what I'm watching and how invested I am in it. If I'm really into the show, then I can get pretty emotional but if my interest is elsewhere or not as strong then I can get cold.

I can't enjoy an anime if it doesn't warrant some kind of emotional reaction from me. I'm pretty much a waterfall, though, so it isn't very hard

You know what guys, NOT only I cried over stuff but hating over characters who mostly jerks/douchebag/etc till 'justice has been served at the end' really makes my day when it comes to emotional.

Because I couldn't get rid of these images out of my head (*cough* Accel World, SAO, To aru majutsu no index *cough*).

(My first ever post on MAL)

I just finished watching Mirai Nikki, I watched all episodes without any breaks in between, and I was emotional for 3 days because of it.

The same thing happened with Wolf's Rain when I watched it about 5 years ago.

I've never cried from watching a movie or anime, but I do occationally feel my heart skip a beat every now and then. Tho I prefer animes that have some sense in humour in them aswell, to kinda mask all the unnecessary drama.

I've never teared up or anything but there are times when I feel sad for the character (I know it's not real and it doesn't actually affect me in any way, but I do get that feeling when a scene is made well)

I don't seem to cry during animes that are supposed to be tear-jerkers but cry in very, very uncalled for points such as the death of the main villain.

Yes, although not in the sense that I'll be bawling my eyes out and screaming for the next 7 days about it. I rarely cry when watching anime, but it has happened. :L

It impacts me on the inside, though. Oh the nights I have spent just... thinking...

I never really cry, but I do become melancholy and do some deep thinking sometimes depending on the anime. I tend to pick up the subtle things or messages that no one cares about. OSTs have a pretty significant affect on my feelings as well.

Guilty Crown, Sekirei, Sora no Otoshimono, Naruto, and Dragonaut just to name a few.

I try to cope with the feels by picking up the manga or LN the anime is adapted from (if it has one).

Spending time on manga, anime, or LNs is really the only time I really get emotional, an escape if you will. Otherwise, I just obsess with things and do stuff that anyone else would do.

Hey, so JeffreyZin, I'm right there with you. I don't know if you've seen Deathnote, and since this question is a tough one for all of us out here to answer w/o putting spoilers all over the forum post, there was definitely a scene that left me so heartbroken, I felt like I'd just lost a friend. I was upset for like a week. Don't sweat it, it just means you have a heart!

Sometimes. Also not sure if it counts, but when I finish watching a really bad anime, I feel so damn happy that I start crying.

Examples: NGNL
Mirai Nikki

Well thank you.

I also get more like Emotional Breakdown sometimes. So many dramas & spams that doesn't make sense that I've been made throughout MAL forums even other anime community. That's quite common sometimes for me.

Duh,

not only that. Imagine when a villain kills off/rape someone right before main character's eyes, I psychically gone apeshit.

Also, do you realize that I also get upset when the character's attitude, plots & writing in every anime were just.... plain stupid?

Highschool of dead, Samurai Flamenco, Kakumeiki Valvrave, Madoka Magica & Fate Stay Night?

There are only two anime series were I became very emotional.

These are Clannad After Story and Ano Hi Mita Hana no Namae wo Bokutachi wa Mada Shiranai.

These are the best drama anime i have watched so far :D
