On another note, the Amano scene really made her a better character too. I have a feeling we will be seeing her a lot more |
| Oh god, I think next episode I'm gonna cry like a baby. It look so sad. It was hard to see her lose her humanity. She slowly started to be unnable to talk. She was often just saying auu~ like if talking was too hard. I don't think that Yuuichi have the same feeling for her that she have, but he is in no way indifferent. I guess they'll try make her departure easier... |

| Yuuichi's interactions with Makoto are really similar to that of a young child or an animal, and I think that's what makes it the most sad. I got teary-eyed at the end when she told Yuuichi she wants to marry him. v.v |

| I guess the tears start coming in this episode huh...It was well done for this remake, let me be honest. While the 2002 version did generally make the message come across, and it did convey the sorrow as she loses her knowledge and speaking ability, the 2006 added ornaments which further emphasise the overall effect, making it extremely depressing. Such ornaments being the shoujo manga, for instance. I can't wait to see how KyoAni would pull out the end, at this juncture, I guess it is rather predictable already. Toei crashed course and squeezed everything, from Makoto disappearing, falling sick, losing the ability to speak and the very final moment in an episode. They did it, surprisingly not disastrously, but ended up sacrificing the important drama and made it feel highly unnatural. KyoAni has more time, and I really want to see how they would flesh it out. 5/5 |

| Beautiful & touching episode. I cried. It's so sad seeing Makoto like that...I'm so nervous to see how her arc is going to end. I love how Yuichi wanted to get her anything she wanted, and all she wanted was that cute bracelet with the bells. It makes sense though since she loved the sound of bells as a fox too. I felt so sad for her when she was a fox and Yuichi left her on the hill area, but he didn't really have a choice, but the abandonment issues she had because of it explain some of the actions she's done thus far. I hope they find Piro! |

| This is getting to long with Makoto ;/ I thought it will end in eisode 8 and it is up to 10 now ;o Yuuichi was always coming up with full human names, but I dont see any fault in him that this happened to that fox. It is normal that you send away wild animals back to forest or something after you take care of it. |

| Been wanting to rewatch this since last year, but I associate Kanon with winter so I was waiting around for a bitter snowfall to accompany Kanon's atmosphere. About episode 3 or 4, it occurred to me I still remember the major plot beats despite having watched this 6 years ago, and, remembering how visceral and powerful my original reaction was to the climax of Makoto's arc, wasn't sure I'd really "feel it" this time. I'm actually scared to watch the next episode because I was getting teary-eyed through this entire episode. Seeing Makoto regress to animal-like behavior broke my heart. :'( |

| My brain was sitting there for most of the episode thinking about how contrived this plot was...but then Makoto went straight for the heart strings by asking Yuuichi to marry her. Something about that just grabbed me. It's ineffably tragic when people's good, heartfelt dreams get dashed against the immutable cliffs of reality. |

| Not really a Makoto fan, still seeing her slowly but surely turning back into a fox really set out the melancholic vibes She did had her moment of solace by remeeting Yuuchi though. As a viewer I hope Makoto's arc ends soon as I'm more interested in knowing more about Ayu and Shiori |

| I'm literally already crying. The pacing of this series is so good! The folklore element is really tying the supernatural and natural parts of this series together. Serious Clanaad Afterstory vibes with the fever bit, as well as Angel Beats vibes. I am so happy I waited this long to watch all these series at the same time to compare and contrast them all as I watch! |

| That is why I love animals. They're so simple, and any act of kindness done to them can make them love you forever, and they will never betray you. The scene of Yuuichi having to leave Makoto behind tugged at my heartstrings. That explains why she was so mad at him initially, despite having no memories. Also, it makes more sense why she's always making the "Auu" sounds. It's sad to see her slowly but surely regress. |
