Overrated however I enjoy the op/endings soundtracks. It is just hyped as SAO, nothing special

[Potential Spoiler Alert]
The novels is more or less exactly the same as the series, at least, the first three ones.

I am a bit confused though, in the end of episode 12 you get to see the summoning of an old deus, yes? this event takes place in the last of the novels, at the end of book 6, to be exact. I wonder, is this a "this will happen in the next season" thingy, or does it actually happen here? because really, in the books, by the time of the summoning of the old deus, they've already aquired like, three more races to their federation!

I would really like to see the events leading up to this in the series, will this happen?

By the way: the deadline of the book releases has been around 5-6 months each time.. By now, it's already passed like, 9-10 months.
Will there even be more novels made? (heard something about the author being accused of tracing when it comes to the manga he draws? Will this delay the new novels further? Will there not be any other novels?? And if so, will there be no update to the series?)

If anyone got any answers, or even ideas or anything regarding the outcome of new novels or the sequeling season, please, please post a message speaking your mind!!

Well I find this show to be pretentious. It tries to look and sound way smarter than it really is. Could barely sit through 5 episodes. Still am not sure if dropping it or not though...

Anyway I personaly have absolutely no wish to see a second season. Still if another season will make people happy then why not...the show has awesome soundtrack so at least I will have some new cool ost to listen to.

Madhouse better give a 2nd season and not end another series inconclusive. S1 ended perfectly for a 2nd season plus I'm pretty sure this series is fairly popular.

Not enough content yet. The light novels were on hiatus for about a year so there's not as much original material to adapt as you may think. Maybe in another year or so though

Season 2 is a must. The show is good, has tons of viewers. I think it had good sales and material wise there is still alot to do.

the author said in a twitter post that the people asking for the season 2 must ask Kadokawa and the respect studios for the season 2, because its in their hands if the gets an adaption or not

Let me entertain you with a fun fact:

The LN author is natural from Brazil, state of Minas Gerais.
There, "train" (literally) can be a slang for "things". Like: "that train" when you're pointing to anything.

So this hype train is not a coincidence at all.

Something might (and I heavily emphasize might) be announced at KADOKAWA Light Novel Expo 2020 on March 6/7th. At this point NGNL is dead franchise...however the 10th anniversary for NGNL's LN series is coming in 2022. So the possibility of S2 being announced in March and then the anime airing in 2022 during it's 10th anniversary is not outside the realms of possibilities.
