Wait, so if Maximillian's dead what are the next 7 episodes for? I guess it's back to France...

I doubt Maximilian is dead. He knew the grand master's powers long before he set out to receive his punishment. He just has a trick up his sleeve. I also bet the royal psalms doesn't even open for him.

Nice to see Durand back in action, the rest of the ep... mostly weird. There's got to be more to this than Maximillian getting smashed.

4 words- Maximillian isn't really dead. He can't be. I feel like there is much more he has in store for the main characters.

I totally did not expect Max to die.
I kind of felt bad for Lorenza too... the guy with the check, not so much.

Interesting clash, who will win?
Some doubt as to who are the bad guys and the good guys, I still have them.
Excellent OST, as well as the narrative. Intriguing storyline, no one tells the truth.
Animations and promoted, such as the quality of the scenarios really good for the times in which it was produced.
Curious to find out what's going to happen at the end of the series.

What?! He must have some kind of out. I cannot believe he's dead yet

This is one of these series where it's hard to stop watching once you're into it.

Well, it doesn't make sense for Maximillian to be dead so long as this series bears any resemblance to French history. Obviously it takes quite extreme liberties in that regard, but killing him off now really doesn't seem likely to me.

They're really pushing this whole dual personality fear thing now, which is weird because it doesn't feel like they've been pursuing that. I guess a little in the very beginning? Anyway, I'm not a fan of that little asterisk that tends to come along with this plot point. The dread of losing yourself within another personality just seems a bit lazy to me. Especially since, most of the time, it just results in separate characters anyway; surprise, surprise everything worked out and the character didn't drown in another.

To no real surprise Maximilien is self-serving. Though, I wasn't expecting him to get defeated so easily. I'm not sure if he's dead or not, but the whole bleeding tears thing was awfully heavy handed, especially when Lia mirrored it. I guess those two have a heck of a connection, seemingly more so than Lia and d'Eon?
