| Ah yes. I watching a review of Kill la Kill and all of a sudden, my father calls out to me and says "Is the main character a girl? Why would you watch that? That's for girls!"(Although he did see some fight scenes such as Ryuko vs. Satsuki, he said he liked the fight, even though it was only shown for like 5 seconds) or something along those lines. He also said the same thing about Toradora and practically any RomCom anime that I was watching while he was present at the time. He was kind of fond of anime like One Piece and Attack on Titan though. This question came to mind when he did ask me, so as explained above, What do your friends/family think about watching anime(or basically you watching them)? Do they think it's weird? Are you keeping it a secret? |

They were heavily edited dubs, so they probably just thought they were normal kids' shows. And my friends don't know I watch anime. I only tell people when they ask, and they've never asked. |

| Eh my dad used to watch DBZ with me as a kid. He knows how weird this shit can be, so he's generally fine. Other family don't really care. My closest friends hardly watch anime at all. I never feel the need to hide the fact that I like anime, but it's not like I'm telling people I just met I watch the stuff. |

| Both my mom and dad think I watch too much anime, and that I should do my homework instead. My cousin, who lives with us, is watching Naruto Shippuuden, but that's the only anime he watches. I just know that they think I'm crazy, since I'm always laughing out loud to myself in my room. By now, they've already gotten used to it and doesn't even care anymore. | My parents both see them as cartoons like Tom & Jerry but my mom at least accepts that she must not know everything because of how much my brothers and I all love it. Maybe Ill one day try to explain. Nah Im too lazy for that. My dad however accepts no such thing and will likely always consider them Tom & Jerry regardless of how I explain. My brothers all love anime. 2 of my best friends love anime with a 3rd waiting to be shown a good anime, I suspect. He formerly liked Toonami way back when so I cant imagine he'll stay away from anime forever. Then the 4th, well she'll never get into anime. Shes too far into American comics... My extended family... I have 2 cousins who have seen anime, 1 is only casually into it and the other is not only as heavily into anime as I am but hes the one who got me into anime in the 1st place. The rest of my relatives dont seem to know or perhaps know but dont care about me loving anime. Not that Ive ever hid it, theyre just the kind of people Ive never had enough common ground to talk with. |

| I usually pause what I'm watching when parents come to avoid stupid comments about it being cartoons for 10-years old kids. And when sister is in my room I watch some shounen or seinen instead of what I was planning. She doesn't say anything then. |
| Mum is indifferent. When I did see my dad, he didn't really care what I watched. So he was indifferent. Brother #1 didn't care for it Brother #2 liked some anime such as Death Note Younger Sister like some anime like Ghost Hunt, Chrono Crusade and Umineko. My current set of friends don't really care for it. I'm pretty much isolated as far as I know. Any friend I had who enjoyed anime I drifted away from. |
