| Well, I've watched stuff since my childhood but what got me back into anime was Chihayafuru during Spring time, since I read the manga for it. Then I went and started watching more ongoing animes like Sakamichi no Apollon and Hyouka. And now I'm trying to watch everything I can. ^^ |

| It was Yu-Gi-Oh!. I watched the show, and started playing the game, which led to me reading a lot about it to try to get better at it. I read that there was a comic of it, and wanted to read it. That got me into manga, and is what really got me into anime. The first anime I watched that wasn't for kids was FMA. |

| It was in my 9th Grade and exams were coming up. I was bored to hell and connected the pen drive I had gotten from a friend of mine to see what was in it. There were six anime episodes in it. Code Geass R2 episodes 1-3 and Darker Than Black season 1 epsiodes 1-3. That's where I got hooked on to anime............... and I failed my exams. |

| Well I used to live oversea's and they had this channel that was exclusively for anime. I would switch over to it every once in a while when I was bored, but never really watched anything. Then one day I caught the first episode of Gurren Lagann. I was like sweet, post-apocalyptic wasteland setting with giants robots, this could be interesting. So I watched Gurren Lagann till the end, and my opinion of anime skyrocketed. This was probably 4 years ago. After that I watched most of Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood and the first half of welcome to the NHK (a lot of the jokes and stereotypes I didnt understand at the time, so I just stopped watching it) About 3 years later I was living in the states and found HOTD on netflix and decided to watch it because the whole zombie theme sounded really cool. I was a bit disappointed though, as the over the top ecchi took away a lot of the shows potential IMO. After that I randomly came across Calanad and decided to watch the series even though it wasnt my style, and after that I was set. Anime became all I watched basically, as it has some of the best action, creative settings, and romance I've ever seen. |
 If you really want to fit in, just put Legend of the Galactic Heroes in your top 5 and have it be the only 10-rated anime in your list. |

| My cousins were so into anime that I got influenced by them. Main reason I got into anime was conformity issues. Basically, I just wanted to fit in like the rest of them but I've grown up loving the medium so I don't really care anymore. Right now, I don't really know if they are still watching. I think they've gone through that phase where everything isn't great anymore. Its like having a high standard and other factors involving judgment. |

| In my younger days I would DBZ, Gundam Wing, and stuff like that on Toonami after school every day pretty much. I stopped watching in about 2005 or 2006 because I lost interest. In May when I heard Toonami was coming back, I decided to give it another try because a bunch of my friends were starting to get into anime again. Deadman Wonderland got me hooked and excited about anime again. After that, I started watching series after series up to this point in time. |

| I got into it by watching it on our local TV. Thank goodness we didn't have cable back then! Anyway, I remember when me and my classmates or friends from elementary. We would go all gather in front of the tv and watch animes together. Animes like DBZ, Yuyu Hakusho, Slam Dunk, Detective Conan, Hunter x Hunter and more. This question brings back goood memories! |
