| The second half of this episode was really good. Loved the visual of Lum sitting on top of the pole while worrying about Ataru. |
| THE SHRINE MAIDEN IS NOW THE SCHOOL NURSE! That's a fun and wacky first half, cursed boxing gloves. Although Ataru does not want Lum for wife, he will certainly not let himself get physical, taking his own punch. Ataru has eyes for every girl besides Lum, even one he hasn't even seen. He has no problem with Lum being in Mendou's arms and even encourages it. Lum can't help but feel sorry for Ataru being the victim of a prank and will not let him be stood up. |

| I liked it. And it actually showed some spark of romance happen, on mutual sides, between the two. And showed how supportive Lum was. Either way, Ataru's still a dumb***, but it is what it is. At least he's noticing Lum more now |

I definitely appreciated the heartwarming moment cause it came unexpected for me knowing he's such a womanizer for everyone else besides Lum, sprinkle it in every now and then, we're gucci! |

| Ataru acted more respectable than expected when it came to those cursed boxing gloves. Second half was even better even if Lum's disguise wasn't that hard to see through and it was predictable that she wouldn't have actually left him in trouble despite her first intentions. i've seen the entire og series but can't remember the exact episode number with the same plot (watched the first 35/40 in early 2019 and the rest in 2021), but considering this didn't have a late december holiday season setting, the remake is in advantage. |

| The moment between Lum and Ataru at the end of the episode was easily the best scene in the anime thus far. Lum could've easily let Ataru look like an idiot, so good for her for helping Ataru despite him treating her terribly. Clearly it paid off now that Ataru noticed that Lum is incredibly cute. |

| God damn this show really can look so beautiful when it wants to. A really sweet second half, left me with a smile! Probs my fav episode so far, was just really well done on every level, Lum is such the perfect girl. |

| I haven't watched the original anime, but please can we get at least some character development since that would be appreciated. It kinda seems like there's a chance for some development at the end of this ep so I still have hope. |

| Actually pretty darn decent. I tend to find both Ataru and Lum to be almost equally annoying but kinda understand that Lum is a bit of a punishment for how scummy Ataru is. Yet this episode allowed them to just be on screen without needing to scream every second and it was really nice. Made a huge difference and I liked that there's a glimmer of them getting along better or at least being on the same wavelength. It's good. |

Always makes me remember that Ataru is such an idiot. About the least he can do is getting his ugly mutt to land the punches aimed at Lum's face. |
