| It seems that the author forgot about the monsters being able to smell out humans. I was sure that Kikila or Muthrika were going to realize that Somali is human but the show is inconsistent in that regard. |

| The second half was so unbelievably sad... Somali's wish and Golem's promise. Shot straight through the heart, twice. Somali has a feeling that they're going to part at the end of their journey, and she doesn't want that. But Golem may not have a choice at all... Golem finally did something that was based purely on his growing parental love towards Somali: he lied. It doesn't make sense, it's not rational nor is it logical. But he didn't want to hurt her, and so he lied. I'm hoping that comment by that wolf guy is really true, that when that monster left Somali alone that was a sign that her wish could be granted by some miracle... |

| I can't get over how pretty that underground area is; gorgeous. Gives me serious Made In Abyss vibes. Didn't Golem learn how to make medicine in episode 2? Feels like a wasted opportunity that he wasn't able to use his medical knowledge to help Somali, but maybe it'll come in handy later. Awwww Golem hurt Somali's feelings. He seems to be slowly learning from his mistakes at least. Damn. Seeing Golem make that promise to be with Somali forever was such a gut punch. Hard not to cry at that scene. I was expecting a comfy anime and got comfiness with a dose of depression. If this ends with Golem dying, I'm going to be a crying mess. |
