| Xadyu, yeah, it was recently changed by me on user request. DinoZone was originally released as a 5-episode OVA series. "TV series with 26 episodes" was actually produced by Sunrise Studio specifically for Western market. It is not included in the database because it doesn't meet the database guidelines. I can't recall all the details, but the same goes for the 24 episode version too. |

In the end I think it'd make more sense to just accept that they are individual titles and stop catering to people too lazy to look them up. The "user view" thing is just deferring responsibility to the user base, but that shouldn't happen since you don't compromise for other releases, there's no set of rules that can categorize all shorts appropriately, so it's needlessly complicating things for the sake of artificially decreasing the number of entries. |

That's romanized to "pu". ポ is romanized to "po" which fits the Po in Poulette. Hence why it's used in spelling for Polle a municipality in Germany, Poljot the Russian watch brand, for the Polesine Parmense and Polesella in Italy, for polenta the food, and for Polessk the Russian town. Granted it is also what's used to spell the man's name "Paul" (ポール). But if it was the feminine version of Paul (Paulette), shouldn't it have been spelled ポーレット? Because googling ポーレット brings up famous people named Paulette. | I made a thread back questioning the MC list for the Akame ga Kill anime. It seems I wasn't in the wrong doing so with it deciding to stray from the manga and do its own ending. Please do one of the following: 1. Remove Mine as a MC from the anime as her value is no more than any other of the Night Raid characters. 2. Make the other Night Raid characters that have just as much meaning as her MC's. If you're up to date with the anime, you should understand. |

Since in the first few episodes, it isn't known which servant belongs to which who. We're on episode 7 (8 if you count episode 00) and all of the masters still aren't known. Archer's past/identity is a mystery (Saber's as well, unless you've read/seen F/Z), one of the main mysteries of UBW actually. Sakura being seen with Gilgamesh and whatever they have to do with each other is a mystery. Also what happened 10 years ago, when Shirou was rescued by Emiya Kiritsugu. Also a mystery (unless you've read/seen F/Z). Would the mystery genre be appropriate for this show? |

| ap19, abystoma2, Each episode released in the Nihon Animator Mihonichi block does stand out indeed, but based mostly on the weekly release schedule, same producer/studio for all works, episodes being numbered and so on, it is considered an ONA series, and will stay merged. Anime Mirai works might be merged in the future as well, as they should have been included in one entry from the beginning anyway, but at that time the nature of the project wasn't known well. Not that it matters, but the Bouken bit wasn't me but abystoma2. My question was resolved by Kineta on the MAL IRC. From Kineta's post here, I suppose each year of Anime Mirai should be split while the works within the same year/airing should be merged, and Short Peace should be merged, in order to keep things consistent. I can't say I like the idea of keeping Nihon Animator Mihonichi together (primarily for scoring, but also for respecting each individual work), but if there really are users who think it should remain merged in addition to the cluttering database problem, then I suppose my own opinion isn't of much use here. |

| I don't see the problem, I already mentioned a couple examples couple pages ago that are the same as this one, if they are released on a certain schedule, have about the same lenght, same producer, etc then they should be in one entry, Anime Mirai shouldn't be merged because nothing is consistent from entry to entry. Regarding Bake, I imagine it wasn't split because it kept the title, had the title for the series changed it'd have probably gotten another entry, the names you see in NAM's description are like episode names, not different projects. |

| ap19, sorry about the bouken part. Corrected. Anime Mirai entries aside for now this seems to become a bigger issue in general, as more and more such works are released. As you've mentioned, DB guidelines doesn't cover everything and should be updated and expanded. But that's not an easy task. You might want to read this recent post by Kineta that elaborates a bit more on the challenges we are facing. There also could be a separate discussion for Nihon Animator Mihonichi case, although it's pretty clear that users would choose convinience over keeping the entries tight, giving the chance to voice different opinions might lead to a consensus. Edit: That's fine, i guess. :) |
