I don't think the Raikage gets enough time to masturbate. The man gets a little impatient and crushes a table. He probably kills small animals to pass the time rather than read or doodle like everyone else. Also, I get a small bit of satisfaction for seeing Naruto get utterly humiliated and rejected by the Raikage. What he's asking is completely unreasonable. |

| Ok, one of the best plot development episodes I've seen in Naruto in a long, LONG time! I've read some chapters ahead, but the intensity of the show is at its pinnacle! Never before have we had all the 5 great nations of the world involved in the same situation. |

And a skewed perception of the world. I'm not too sure what to think of the Tsuchikage, but thus far he just seems like he's just a little bit too arrogant and egotistical in his old age. And perhaps stuck in his old ways - not sure of that yet. The Mizukage seems cool, and of course Gaara is awesome. Need more young Kage to sit on the board. I can't believe the mediator - Mifune - decided on Danzo as the "leader"! Super tense ending. This should be interesting, but I seriously hope that Danzo's plans, which he seems to think are unfolding perfectly, get a wrench thrown in them... soon. |

It's Japan we are talking, they take as a custom to bow to ask for favors (and tons of other things)... the lower their head the biggest emphasis. It's NOT the same interpret we get from the act here in the west! Bowing your head to the ground for instance, it's something people only do when praying for God! That is how much Naruto was aware of the seriousness of his request. It's also another custom to apologize like you mean it... VERY VERY different from our usual "sowy" (that you post on TV and right after go screw some more oceans like a big company last year ¬¬). Considering he is apologizing in place of someone else... well, the cry is still a bit too much but he would definitely have to put a lot of effort if he had any real hopes of achieving it. ...just take this into consideration when making your assumptions and you will begin to put things into perspective. Have to say, that I agree with you on this and on many points you've said b4 about this Naruto-apologizing-issue. Ppl should never forget that this is a JAPANESE show, and that there are cultural differences. So better not judge actions or emotional outbreak of the charas with the measurement of the west. Be it "begging" vs "request", or close friendship = "gay relationship" vs."deep, brotherly feelings/friendship".-___- anyway, this episode was quite interesting, shows quite well how rotten the shinobi world and its system is actually. Don't like Raikage, who reasons his actions (attempt of getting the byakugan, the covering up and the resulting unreasonable death of Neji's father) as "only those with power will survive"-shit. The tsuchikage is kinda cool with his sarcasm and its interesting to see how his arguments with Gaara (the coolest and most reasonable kage of the bunch) shows the clash of generations. Mizukage seems likeable as well. And Danzo... just want this manipulative power-hungry guy dead. |

| that end, i really can't stop thinking that danzou somehow made all that only for this sake alone. really love how naruto tried preventing as much as he can personal feeling, but in the end it seems he couldn't or he wouldn't cried like this. anyway, the problem is raikage personality, he's not from those who will listen to logic about justice and circle of hatred, he's one whom believe that power is the essential thing in the shinobi world, all his words and appearance says that, even without naruto making all emotional he wouldn't listen, the proof for that is that he didn't even listened to kakashi and yamato. and of course that the main problem is the raikage himself is all about revenging akatsuki and sasuke because of that attack, without knowing that sasuke himself didn't know what the akatsuki wanted to do with killer B, i believe that if sasuke knew they gonna kill him he wouldn't want to do that and we can clearly see it from him (didn't killed the 100 soldiers anyone?), as naruto said sasuke is clearly being used by the akatsuki and the raikage is much worse than sasuke - sasuke didn't killed killer B and he should know it, itachi killed sasuke's family so he had hatred toward itachi, sasuke only kidnapped killer B, didn't killed him, and he [the raikage] wants to demolish him. and that's actually what gaara made me think in his first words - 'till now nothing were done with the five kage concerning the akatsuki, once he said that i thought "gaara - the kazekage - had been taken by akatsuki on their very village, no one besides knonha did nothing, but raikaze's brother was taken by the akatsuki and because of that alone he assembles the 5 kage?". really hate the raikage right now and i can't decide if to hate who more - danzou or the raikage. all that also making me to think - where killer B right now, and why hasn't he showed up already? some here talked about the pace, rather than saying the i believe this ep contains 2chp, i believe that there's no other way to present the summit in another way but this, i found myself more than couple of time backward the video to hear their discussion better. |
