The OP and ED... love it!

The thing that I liked on the opening is showing the Future Diary users. I really liked the part where Tsubaki smiled. I wish that she could have been there a little longer. The thing that I hated on the opening is Yuno vs. Yuno thing. It didn't fit well the opening. They should have made a new scene there or just omitted it.

I can't believe Yousei Teikoku did the ending as well. The song has been trimmed down to a softer tone. But I still like them just how they did on the first op.

The episode is quite action packed. I can't believe our invincible Yuno lost. The conspiracy of 7th and 8th is quite a good battle to our beloved 1st & 2nd couple.
I read this part in the manga, it used up to three chapters.

I just want to point out the time when Yuno and Yukiteru climbed the ladder, shouldn't they just blocked the door? Or maybe even did an ambush to 7th when he entered just by staying on the sides.

I wonder what will Yukiteru and Yuno do now that they don't have their diaries. Ninth again, made her appearance to help our protagonists. Love Ninth even more, our freaking cosplay terrorist!

Overall, this episode kicks ass. Love the OP, the content, ED, everything.

Yep, that's exactly it. I have never read the manga- but I have seen other shows where people say the OP's are spoiler but that's only because they know whats going on...so for this I had no idea what was going on in the OP.
~But the ED was amazing in my opinion- TRULY AMAZING, I got goosebumps from the voice and the scenes in it.

Fantastic new OP! ED was nice as well, though I prefer the heavier impact which Blood Teller brought.

Episode was great, didn't expect the Sevenths to actually be a part of Eighth's Apprentice Diary group. Their personalities were interesting. Marco has me intruiged.

Waiting impatiently for more!
Everyone is jumping too much into conclusion that because J.C. staff is doing it. It's gonna end up badly. It hasn't even started it. Give them a chance at least. And when the time comes and they actually ruin it. We can all go to Japan, go to J.C. staff and burn their offices. I'll pay for the trip lol

I agree it's plot armor, but the reasons are still there, not THAT stupid. Let's just say every bit of information helps in the survival game. By disabling 1st and 2nd and holding on to their cellphones, not only their lives are at 7th's mercy, their literally become scouts. Yuki and Yuno's diaries are of particular value because they complement each other and provide huge amount of information in their surroundings. 11th is still unrevealed and 9th is a wild card. So if either of them interact with 1st and 2nd (an attack or just a conversation - like 9th did at the hospital), their identities are immediately revealed to 7th, who can then deduce their personalities and future plans based on the recorded interactions. If they are smart they can even blackmail 1st and 2nd to do their bidding to some extend.

This episode explains precisely why I never bring a bunch friends over to my house.
Kousaka being a good guy that he is decides to let Aru carry out his plan in his house, the result, his house nearly got burned down.

Im wondering when Yukiteru will man up, Seventh did the right thing beating the shit out of him.

ok then look like indeed really half way point series really began with new op with everyone all blue except for yuki ,yuno all wandering outfit, & ninth going mu ha ha ha.

yuki hiding mode got called deus about 8th.
then yuki, aru, & others seeing that 8th is server to give dairy to anyone so make plan get 8th followers.
yuki bit ugh so went see anyone in his home just his mom some talk & oh potato too big yep yuno was here make potato & left indeed oh no for yuki.
few days later set plan but here the wrench aka yuno cause yuno being yuno messed it up.
yet cause here come 8th followers by pwn'd the door & cops.
meanwhile 8th checking in going on (really whoever design 8th must been really WHY so BIG).
during yuki, yuno, & two females running til knives attack & yea reach attic bur yuno closed the door on them all to keep yuki.
but door pwn'd again here come male & female followers but phone disconnect just in time.
but wait not so fast cause pull in "money in the bank case" cause reveal male & female are both 7th yea it two in one dairy.
indeed panic unleash the yuno yea lots of knife throw but all yuno-block.
back-up plan for double 7 yea burn the place yet also bandage two female they attack cause they just target only yuki & yuno.
so flaming mansion fight with yuno vs female 7 then male 7 make block & down goes yuno.
male 7 grab yuki & yuki indeed admit he weak so yea male 7 toss yuki down.
next day wonder to do here come a "nurse" but that not regular nurse it's 9th.

yea all blue right now on it.

Not too fond of the new OP, but, it suffices for now. As for the episode, I still love Yuno. Best character in the show, still! Evan after getting the backhand from Yuki. She's just got that persuasion I guess, and Yuki is still a bit of a lily. Not too sure about that Ai and Marco pair. That was just odd. To be honest, didn't quite understand how they managed to get inside the house still. And Yuki survived at least a 20 ft drop with minor damage. Really? Alright, then. Yes, time for some Minene to take action. Looking forward to the next!

Kousaka, Mao, and Hinata are really going through a lot of grief for their friendship with Yuki. Of course Yuno also has been taking some damage (both physical and psychological) from what has been going on. At some point Yuki is going to have to man up, rather than letting friends and lovers do all the heavy lifting.

The Seventh duo are ok. The scene where they kissed was just digusting.

So Im guessing from the ending that Yukiteri and Gasai's diaries were taken and Yukiteru will be asking for Minene- san's help in getting them back in the next ep.

New OP and ED are much better than the first two.

New OP and ED aren't as good as the old ones. Especially Blood Teller. That shit was BOMB. But Tsubaki looked awesome.

Yuno going from massively annoying cunt to badass in the blink of an eye.

So they imply Yuno took a knife in the face and there was a huge pool of blood--but it wasn't hers, and she wasn't hit by the knife, but she was lying on the ground anyway? What...

Having a hard time believing they just took their diaries and didn't destroy them to kill them. Why...

Overall, I'll give it a meh+.

-Kousaka being a convenient plot device now even though at the beginning he captured Yuki and turned him into the Uruyuu Meine full aware that she was going to KILL Yuki
-Yuki's mom not asking about the POLICE FORCE chasing her son
-Yuki and friends having access to a convenient remote control box that can turn off an entire cell phone tower with no regard with the tens of thousands of people it will effect
-The Japanese police force allowing middle school students to be used as bait for unknown hostiles instead of forcefully keeping them in custody and detaining their phones
-A man and woman with diaries that obviously don't increase physical attributes somehow have the unexplained power to knock two grown men through a closed door and at least 6 feet of distance back through THE AIR.
-The Detective not having a gun. LOOOOOOOOL.
-A large scale operation with police involved where people assumed armed and dangerous are known to be coming and only 1-2 cops are there
"SHOULD I REALLY FREE YUNO EVEN THOUGH TWO GROWN ADULTS WITH WEAPONS HAVE TRAPPED US? AM I REALLY TOO MUCH OF A BITCH TO JUST TIE HER UP AGAIN LATER?"

I honestly didn't think this episode (or nearly anything for that matter) could be worse than the last episode, but this managed to take the cake.

Another good episode, good adaption overall. I didn't notice that many significant changes all though one that i noticed was the dinner part where Yuno actually cooked and then left where in the manga he just got paranoid and she was never there at all; so for what they were trying i actually thought it was better in the anime.

He improves soon enough; at this pace I'd say around episode 20, but that's just a guess, since its hard to guess chapter per episode ratio.

I'm happy this episode happened. I'll be honest and the last two episodes pacing felt completely off to me and made them less enjoyable for me than I would of hoped. But this episode was excellent, enjoyed it very much so.

I can confirm that! The change is so amazing it's like someone made your head spin 360 degrees. I am hoping the anime slows that one down but maybe not.

The new intro has terrible music and the way they inserted the best (read: my favorite) bit from the old one is just beyond terrible. The new one doesn't set the right mood - MN is at its best when it's keeping you at the edge of your seat. Apart from that, it's nice to see the characters and it looks well-done.

The new outro, however, is just worthless. Again the music is terrible, and it's almost equally as lazy as the old one.

Basically, the music just went from my favorite of any show from this or previous season to 'meh'.

And the show isn't getting any better, either. There was exactly one exciting moment in the whole episode - the same one the OP has mentioned near the end of his post. From last episode we have these...whatever the fuck they are...the mushroom person? kiddies? it all looks a lot different from the actual show? and I'm rather confused by what the hell happened. Some things that happened really make no sense from the perspective of the characters. And why isn't Yuno dead after merely staring at a knife traveling towards her skull? Aaaaargh, fck it.

Just watched the episode. I don't understand why some of you are criticizing the episode so hard. In my opinion, this is one of the best episodes ever, in terms of manga adaptation. 7th just became one of my favorite diary holders. There were tons of badass action scenes this episode, something which we have missed for quite some time.

Then why was she lying in the ground in (what looked like) a huge pool of blood, looking only half-conscious? That much blood couldn't have come from that dude's arm in (such a short amount of time at least).

In the manga she was stabbed in stomach So while they didn't show it in the anime; she was lying down on the ground like you mentioned so its possible she was laying on the knife in her stomach thus the cause of blood; if it stayed true to the manga.

Pretty late in commenting but here goes. New OP and ED was pretty good, though I do prefer the previous ones. I like how the opening shows each of he diary owners, but the fact that it spoils some people, I just liked the idea that you didn't know who was who, but now you do.

Yukkii went crawling back to Yuno so they could beat seventh, he's pretty annoying but Yuno is still fab!

But the best thing of all is Minene's back!!!! :D

The police force in this series is pretty much a running gag at this point. They've failed to catch a serial killer(3rd), allowed the bombing of a school and hospital, allowed their headquarter to be infiltrated and had their swat team defeated by Yuno.

I enjoyed the new OP and ED. Revealing the identities of the dairy holders doesn't spoil anything, it's knowledge of their dairies that's important.

The scene where Yuno's image appeared behind Yukki was done well, it actually made me jump back.

Don't got an anwser for that one lol; best guess i got is that she deflected it but even that is reaching; so i guess the close up of the head was to show her reaction instead of showing the knife's direction?

They wanted to troll the viewers. Yuno did move shift that got the knife in her stomach they implied it was to go through her head either that or plain bad mistake on translation. It happens sometimes.
