@deg Really? I thought she was like 8-10 years old? Interesting, also, how is she 18 if 7 years past? Just hasn't hit her birthday yet?
@MewsicMagic 12 years old is the beginning of counting hence 7 years

We have strayed SO FAR from the original premise of a semi-believable afternoon science club, through "streamlining" and oversimplification and fastforwarding, not to mention straight-up shounen, to whatever this was, I just can't even. The warning at the end seems completely pointless and superfluous at this point, because nobody could even attempt to follow any "science" anymore.

I'll tear the third paper and put it away.

Yeah, sure, that's just how science works, right? Sorry not sorry but even a willing suspension of disbelief can only stretch so far. And it'd gotten well past breaking point several times already. Now with little Suika, who couldn't even distinguish faces without her glasses, is suddenly reading tightly packed pages of science, following instructions to create revival fluid.... after who knows how much time of searching up and down for the last remnants of the batch they did have. And suddenly in all that time, time actually passes and it's visible and she gets to grow up. Right.

On top of all this, the emotional manipulation is way too obvious.

Well, maybe if you paid any attention you'd actually understand it

I knew it was coming but it doesnt hurt any less. I was basically crying through the entire episode.

Suika was 11. Eleven years old. And she had not only try and do science from scratch, but more importantly: survive. Although I think we do tend to forget that Suika was one of the Ishigami villagers, which means she is already pretty used to the stone world. But having to survive alone, and also figure out science it is just heartbreaking to watch. But at the same time so emotional and so on theme for a science based story. Science is all about leaving stuff for the next generation after all, and the fact that Suika is the one to literally take on Senku's mantle is just so amazing to see.

So how old is Suika now? Senku told that 7 years have past but Suika wasn't unpetrified for the entire time but if she was "alive" for this 7 years what is she 17-19 yo?

One of the tear jerker reunion, after last I feel it in last episode of 86..😭

Also this Suika-Senku reunion kinda remind me of Pandora Hearts, when protagonist's sister also reunite with her brother, after having time-skip & age..

I had a feeling it was going to happen, that it was going to take years, and I thought I was prepared for it but that moment of Suika finally succeeding after that much time and we getting to see how much she had grown up still hit like a truck, she was already my favorite character out of her unbreakable will and this episode only cemented it, I can't wait to see Kohaku's reaction. I don't think / remember if they have show what happens to corpses, as if they also turn into stone or not, but Hyouga and Tsukasa being one should be a good sign.

Amazing episode
alot of emphasis on the time passage, science from 0, and how little time rly matters when without humans, tge billions of yrs that went by without a single record of history, development or mark by humans (other than suika ofc) also live that she grew up to have a apple shaped hair, just like the helmet she always used

my bone to pick is with the last scene
such an heartfelt moment and such an wholesome reunion but then THERES THIS ONE FRAME?!?!? WTF!?!?!? SENKU LOOKS HIDEOUS HERE, brother, what is that face, those ears, i had to stop and rewind cause i was in disbelief (he loos like a monkey T-T), such a great episode and they couldn't have made him at least... less uncanny? he has literal model level of facecard when in his dying bed being treated from standley shot and this is the frame they go with for the pinacle of the season? i was mad 😅

I mean... humans were petrified for millions of years by a device that goes beyond human comprehension and can be brought back to live with a potion...

that part had to be adressed at some point and ofc it wouldn't be realistic, since its, well, sensational/fantasy to start with.

the point of the timeskip was science, with the right instructions anyone, anywhere in the planet, subject to the same laws of physics, can replicate a phenomena that has been considered science, no matter. Thats what they did with the diamond and its what suika did with senkus notes, whatever she couldn't process or understand she went trial and error till she got it 7 yrs later, seems well written enough

This is by far, without a doubt, the best episode this show has had, and I'm sure it will be that wait untill the end.

It's really incredible how much Suika carried this shit, like damn, I hated this season but these 2 last episode have been peak and it's all thanks to her.
Now she is grown up too, and she is beautiful, she deserves to be the best character in this story. If Senku is gonna marry someone it should be her lmao no joke, she is now the 1st and only female scientist there is.

I honestly always had faith in her, she has always been the only actually useful character ❤️

Fantastic episode, one that since episode we haven't had consider the size of the cast and the inventions all over. It shows us Suika embracing the spirit of the series and doing science from scratch in order to get out from her situation. She's really resourceful, more than one could have accounted for before and despite calling herself a crybaby who could even blame her if for seven years she had to live by herself. I'll admit that if I hadn't already known what was gonna happen I would have shed a tear, more so in the scene where the rain ruined the process.

Senku is back in action and grown up Suika certainly will surprise the rest upon awakening.

I usually heavily dislike child characters in anime but man, SUIKA IS MY GOAT. She's honestly top 3 characters in the series, constantly useful, really cute and not annoying at all. I got emotional when she and Senku finally reunited at the end of the episode, Senku looked so proud of her for all she's done, you could see it in his eyes. Her replicating Senku's clothes also went hard as hell. This last several episodes have all been amazing that I'm sad it'll be over soon. Only 1 more season to go and this 4 year old adventure (for me) will be over.

Probably one of the saddest Dr. Stone episodes yet.
Seeing Suika just surviving all alone in that world, reuniting the statues of her friends all together, talking to them, and imagining their responses... It was just so sad...
The harshest was seeing Suika holding Kohaku like that... She just wanted to hear her (pratically) older sister, Suika needed her :(

And just like this, Suika ended up as the best character of the whole anime. She spent 7 years trying to do the revival fluid, purely on what Senku left her, and of trial and error. Imagine spending 7 years of your life doing something you don't even know it will work in the end. This just shows the willforce and determination of Suika to bring back her friends. Incredible.
I think many of us were expecting that scene of Senku waking up to a grown-up version of Suika, but that didn't take out any impact to the scene of Suika hugging Senku... It has been so many years since she was able to hug another person...

I really hope the next person to get revived is Kohaku, because Suika really needs her. I also hope the anime still shows the hardships Suika went through all those years, alone (not even Senku spent so much time alone when he woke up), but knowing this anime, I need to keep my expectations low.

Either way, that end of the episode, with the ending song playing, while we're shown Suika slowly building her own science kingdom, to produce nitric acid, just makes anyone tear up, and be so proud of how strong Suika was, at such a young age. And then the big moment of Suika finally getting the revival fluid, and being able to hug Senku. You could see Senku was really proud of Suika, even saying that "she was fast" in achieving the revival fluid.

Realy, what an amazing episode. It's crazy how the first 7 episodes of this season were arguably some of the worst episode of Dr. Stone, but these alst 4 have been some of the best episodes of the series.

The big finale for this Part 2 is already next week! I'm really curious how they are wrapping up this arc, to start the ending of the series!

Edit: Forgot to mention, but although Senku states that it has been 7 years, which might indicate that Suika spent 7 years alone, we can't forget that within those 7 years, Suika also spent some time petrified, we just don't know how much, but probably just a year or 2. I just referred to the 7 years because it's easier, since we don't have any confirmation of how much time Suika really spent alone.
Also, the fact that Suika spent all that time trying to create the revival fluid, basically on trial and error premises, without knowing she could ever make it work, is kind of what some Scientists and investigators go through in realy life, spending years on end on their researches, and many of them don't lead to any valid conclusions.

You believe the warning is pointless? My God, for someone who has lived for 3 decades, you sure seem dull in the intelligence department. What are you, a live-in, shut-in, NEET? The warning is not guaranteed to convince people not to try, but in case they do and their parents or whoever wants to sue, the studio can say, "we did warn them."

She did not spend nearly as much time looking for the revival fluid as she did trying to actually make the revival fluid. You are complaining about a shounen anime portrayed as a shounen anime? Perhaps you find it predictable, immature, low quality writing? Brother... I admit. This anime does not have the absolute Shakespearean writing to it, but it does serve its purpose.

I suggest you refrain from putting out a comment that is immature and give a bad example to the younger audience. Hopefully, you have a productive and society contributing life!😃

Seven whole years Suika survived alone while trying to make revival fluid from scratch, that is insane man, but to Senku that was pretty fast, yeah I guess it would be considered how long he was a statue the first time lol. But man I got nothing but respect for Suika, she made the damn thing happen, it would’ve been very tough to not give up with her being a kid, and also never really being that involved in the scientific process of creating things, but she did it, the ED playing as she worked on making the fluid was so well placed too, I’m gonna say this in my finale post too but that is absolutely one of the best EDs in the series, and it’s in a series of bests too.

I also want to mention that this did take me back to the roots of Dr. Stone, we slowed way down and watched Suika find all the statues and start the process to making the revival fluid, yeah there ended up being a time skip but I’m glad we at least got a whole episode of this Suika adventure. And of course I gotta mention grown up Suika, it certainly is a weird feeling seeing her become beautiful when we’re used to her being a silly helmet wearing kid, but that did really make that last moment of the episode when she revived Senku so damn good, definitely top 10 moments of Dr. Stone. And I guess from here we get the gang back together and finally make a rocket to get to the moon? There are no more threats in the way anymore, all that’s left is Why Man, I can’t wait to see how they manage to get to where he is.

This was without a doubt now one of my favourite episodes of the entire season, and probably the franchise so far. Suika, you are a freaking hero. Such absolute and unabated determination and spirit in such a small body to bring back those she loved, and used everything she learned along the way to achieve it when they were not there to do so anymore apart from what they left behind.
I really didn’t think they could fit all of this into just one episode, and in a way it was a bit rushed to achieve this, but on the whole it still feels like it worked.
God though, seven years. I had a feeling it was going to take a while, but still, I thought near the end it wasn’t going to take as long as that despite how Suika was repeating herself.
Of course though our lead protagonist was going to say that wasn’t long at all. Haha
For everything Suika did here, and how much of her life she gave to it, she deserves the biggest love from everyone and everything she could possibly want for the rest of her life.
Suika to the rescue in the grandest form.
