The OVA really should be OVA after 2nd season cuz this is where it’s related. She cuts her hair cuz she wanted to move on from Makabe as she thought that Makabe has already ended up with her maid Yoshino. But no! his love for Aki is more than just a game. He loves her so much. This is where things got interesting

uhm, I think Aki broke up with Masamune 'cause she clearly sees he's not into her, thanks to Yoshino's confession she underdstands that Masamune is not happy by her side (she saw all the signs he "gave") and, obviously he's not in love with her.
I bet Aki believes he's uncomfortable when they're together and is forcing himself, so she wants Masamune to be happy so she's setting him free even if she loves him

I don't remember all the details of the manga so I can't tell if Aki's reasons for breaking up are explained or not, but I can assume that she was not planning to break up but then Yoshino told her what she did and, I guess, how she and Masamune planned his "revenge" and her "redemption". So, based on all of that, maybe Aki noticed Yoshino's feelings and she put up all the pieces together and saw that maybe Masamune was dating her out of pity or 'cause he didn't have another choice, or maybe his reputation? Idk, so now she sacrifices her own feelings for the two persons she loves the most Or... something like that? lol anyway, have a nice day! |

| After Fujinomiya, the heart-wrenching part comes with Aki vs. Yoshino on Masamune and why the Pig's Foot acted that way, to get revenge on the Cruel Princess, which was caused by the servant instead. Masamune making a snowman Daruma from all of the piled snow, it's nice. But after Valentine's, White Day comes with the return, and while Kojuurou might not understand why Fujinomiya pushes herself so hard about Masamune, and that might be the reason why Aki is requesting Yoshino to look into his case. And when it comes to White Day, Masamune wasn't prepared for anything, but Aki would take the reins for planning. Masamune deciding to make homemade macarons, and like Aki when it comes to homemade things, it didn't fare all that well, and he has to resort to buying a gift, but it must be the best since she has a sharp tongue and taste. Another "date" with Masamune and Kojuurou to get White Day stuff, though Kojuurou does the same got Fujinomiya, just like Valentine's. Aki bringing Masamune to a date...or rather, see one of his former bullies when they were young. This is kinda of her "revenge" for him, though by that point, he didn't really care that much since he's changed for the better. It's a dream come true for Masamune, though Aki drops the bombshell that she'll be breaking up with him. What could this mean? |

This season in particular seems to give our Aki-chan no break whatsoever, and I'm not going to lie, it's been kind of entertaining in a dumb way because of that. Here's to hoping Fujinomoya-san responds to Kojurou-san though, she has definitely figured it out for sure. It's starting to get in to the painful spectrum... |

Aki dumping Masamune to see if he will regret and chase after her then probably Aki will spill the beans to find out. |

| Yoshino x Pig's foot is not a bad pairing either. Personally, I think Aki saw that Yoshino actually likes pig's foot as well and felt like she wanted to give her a chance to be true to her feelings, otherwise Yoshino would never face her feelings head on (or something along these lines)... |
