I'm not saying it's amazing or anything like that, but it's miles fucking better than Fairy Tail. The characters are actually likeable, the setting and world-building is actually interesting and not a secondary thought, there has (so far) not been too many instances of nakama power and the fights have been legit, much better choreographed than the fights in FT and the story seems like it's actually been thought out by Mashima, there's clear foreshadowing, or mystery or plot points being built up rather than them going from arc to arc with seemingly not direction.

Also people actually die. That's already different from FT.

All in all, i think people should at least give this a chance.

Keeping aside the striking similarity in Character Designs (almost plagiarizing, if you ask me), the Synopsis definitely sounds intriguing.

I've heard there's Space involved in this too (as confirmed by cosmos), that's another hook for me.

Fairy Tail started off great but deteriorated along the way, I wonder how this'll do. No idea how things were over with Rave Master, though.
