| I had a few problems with this episode. If anyone could answer any of my questions, that'd be great. Why did Land send Leema, a 13-year-old girl as a spy to get Ledo? Why didn't Ledo pilot Muzzle instead of Leema when they both got in? If the first pilot is the only one that could pilot a mech afterwards, I guess those two questions would be answered. But then why did they make her pilot Muzzle when they found him in the first place? Maybe she's a genius. Why did they just let Leema go after she confessed to being a spy? The smart thing to do would've been to hold her captive and question her. There could've been more spies on board. She said she wanted to atone by leaving with pirates.. Why didn't she atone by going back to Gargantia and going to jail? Well they might not have put her in jail 'cause they're nice people, but we'll never know. And they never got a chance to talk about Leema's older brother :/ Some of this was most likely planned to be explained in S2, but then that got canceled. Sucks having an incomplete story 😔 |

| Honestly, there's no hope to giving SNG any sort of sequel if all they are going to continue the trend of weak antagonists, shallow characters, and one sided battles in which the protagonists have some OP mech. |

| I never liked Reema anyways so I'm glad she's gone. I will miss Rackage though, best girl without a doubt. Wasn't expecting much from this OVA and I was still left unimpressed...Same old boring shit just like the main series. |

| I kind of liked Reema, even if she was only there for 2 episodes. Too bad they decided to make her exit the stage before she got any more important. I liked the twists in this OVA. The introduction of the Land faction opens up many possibilities for further world-building. I'm guessing that unlike these independent, neutral Sea nations, the Land nations are descended from remnants of the Continental Union that failed to leave Earth, just like the Whalesquids are descendants of Evolvers that were also left behind when their respective main factions took to the stars. Left behind, these remnants broke into smaller factions scrambling for what little territory and resources remained - thus the constant warfare. Could be wrong, but still an interesting possibility. Would love to know more about that. Not to mention what happened to the Galactic Alliance after they lost their apocalyptic final battle with the Hideauze. If there's anyone invading Earth, I don't think it's the Galactic Alliance after getting their asses royally handed to them in that battle. Characterization was not the strong point of this series, but it had a lot of potential with its world building. Perhaps the creators are simply not interested in going with that direction, as their focus was seemingly always on the peaceful life on Gargantia. I'm sad that chances of seeing more of this are slim. |

| Totally forgot about this, lol. Finally finishing the second part after how many years it has been now...? Apparently I enjoyed the first OVA, but the second one was alright. I almost fell asleep, actually. I agree that IG didn't want to spend much on this, given all the bad 3DCGI. I don't complain about 3D stuff as much as I used to, but this was pretty bad. I recall the TV series having beautiful visuals, including the water. But I could have bad memory given how long ago I watched it. Anyways, no matter how many years it has been, I'm still salty about Amy, lmao. The romance isn't forced, but I personally don't feel the chemistry between them. I also felt a huge disconnect with Reema, and thus didn't find the problems to be interesting. I am definitely a bit curious about the Land nations, but other than that, I don't think Suisei no Gargantia needed this sequel at all. If anything, I'd want to see more about space and where Ledo came from. I agree with SayakaMagica that it seems they wanted to show peaceful life on Gargantia instead of the Galactic Alliance. |
| There are so many soothing soundtracks in this. All of it goes to my music collection. It was better than I expected. So there is actual land left in Earth after all. There is so much opportunity for a sequel. But I guess we are never going to get one. Not that I complain. The series leaves some things off for speculation and I think that is good. I am glad that I picked up this OVA. |

| Was hoping Chamber would come back but in Mazuru's body. I wish they made a second season of this. I held out hope that better subs would come in too. I wish we got more info on Leema, the continent, and the floating city. I guess that was meant to be covered in the cancelled season 2. *sigh* Ledo and Amy are still adorable to watch. I miss Chamber though. |

| Good episode, ends off a bit abruptly with many unanswered questions (particularly the revelation there are actual 'Land' nations that are still in constant war). Undoubtedly this OVA was meant to be lead into a 2nd season but unfortunately that was all cancelled hence leaving the story hanging unless you get to read the untranslated Light Novel. |

| Yeah she really sucks at piloting "Let's stand here in the open without doing anything while everyone's shooting at me" so duuuuumb, I really hate when they do this kind of crap! I didn't liked the tv series (even if the plot twist was cool), didn't like the ova either... the universe is nice that's such a shame, all ruined by the characters and their stupid mindet. Also once again the AI of the mech is the best character, all the humans sucks. Also also, if they can restore a ship like that, why does Gargantia as a whole look like some rusted crap ??? |
