| The big problem with adapting games is that games are an interactive medium by nature so taking that component out changes the experience completely. Also I think the writing in games is pretty mediocre in general, although it has gotten better in the last few years as they have brought in more real writing talent. On the topic of SnB, its really not anything special outside of maybe Favaro as MCs like him are less common in Anime. Other than that its a relatively standard action fantasy series, its very entertaining to be sure but that's about it. I guess it was because nobody expected anything from it and its a lot of fun so there is a lot of hype. |

| I do agree most are shit, there are the occasional 'passable' ones. I'd say Tales of the Abyss was fairly decent and the Persona 3 movie was just godly. As for one I'm looking forward to, God Eater. Comon Ufotable, you've been on a good streak, keep it up. |

| Same argument as Anime adaption for Manga/LN. You can't expect every scene/dialogue to be the same as the original source. That is why it is call an adaption. |
| There have been a decent amount of good anime adapted from video games. I'm surprised that no one's mentioned Gungrave's awesomeness yet. Well, I thought it was pretty good at least. The thought of God Eater finally getting an anime makes me super happy. It's one of the games I've wanted to see get animated most, alongside 999 and a few others. Alissssaaaaaa |

| God, that Monster Hunter adaptation looks like such a huge pile of absolute cancerous garbage. When you decide to adapt a game series called Monster Hunter into an anime and you dedicate maybe two seconds of your two minute trailer to Monster Hunting, you might want to rethink what the fuck you are doing. Yes, cute girls doing cute things and garbage ecchi designs is EXACTLY WHAT PEOPLE PLAY FUCKING MONSTER HUNTER FOR. I guess its my own fault for assuming Capcom would treat any of its franchises with even the least bit of respect. That being said, Persona and Sengoku Basara are supposed to be alright. Also, im surprised something as wildly popular as the Metal Gear series doesn't have an anime. I think it could work if done well. I mean you'd have to try really hard to contort something like MGS around the breaking wheel that is the CGDCT cancer. |
| Action/Shooter/Fighting games adaptations are destined to fail from the beginning. | It seems that only visual novel -> anime adaptations have a modicum of success. Even then, it's rare to find something truly great. Persona 4 Animation is decent, but when you compare it to the incredible game, it just doesn't come close. Why is that multiple choices games keep getting made into linear anime? |
