| I hate it so much. I thought it would be a workplace slice of life about people making anime. This is the second time I've watched an original anime from this studio and it's a pointless mess. (I'm looking at you, Taisou Zamurai) There won't be a third time. From today onwards, I make it a rule not to watch original anime from MAPPA. |

| Oh...from the synopsis, I certainly didn't expect this kind of development. I thought it would be a normal work life story featuring Natsuko's struggles as a director and showing step-by-step her development in creating a storyboard. The first episode certainly wasn't bad, but for me it's very disappointing, to say the least. Well, I'll still give it a shot. The direction and animation is great, as expected of MAPPA...I can't believe they made her literally summon her work desk in the middle of a battlefield lmao. Ngl I'm more interested in seeing the dark version of the movie where Luke goes insane. Hope Natsuko won't deus ex machina her way through solving everything for the heroes through her OP powers of drawing things into life. |

Like, she has that information buried inside her own subconscious and can dig it out by self inserting herself into to old anime she knew? | Hmm, pretty interesting first episode with the potential to having something unique in that the MC, Natsuko, will change the course of events of a movie (or series, not sure what this is) she already watched, kind of like time traveling I suppose. Speaking of her, I'm not sure if she's dead or in a coma due to food poisoning, my guess for the time being is the latter and she will gain romantic inspiration that she's currently lacking, most likely from the blonde guy she helped. |

| HATSUKOI NAME DROP?!!?? One of my fave shows ever omg. For those that don’t know. It’s a Netflix Jdrama based on Utada Hikaru’s song Hatsukoi from the 90s. Came out a couple years ago, PLEASE WATCH IT. Really interesting start to this one though! I didn’t know this was going to be an isekai wtf. Thought this was a Shirobako spiritual successor lol. Early theory is that Natsuko isn’t really dead, she’ll get cpr & wake up at the end as a better person after being so standoffish & rude previously. Think this trip to another world will be a growth opportunity for her and to realise the interpersonal skills she was missing back in her old life. ESPECIALLY opening yourself up and learning to rely on people. That transformation sequence was one of the best ever omg MAPPA flexing already I see lol. And that writing sequence is gonna give death note’s intense writing scene some competition. Crazy ending. Natsuko is so pretty, I’m excited to see where it goes but I hope it doesn’t fall off like MAPPA’s Aladdin original from a few seasons ago.  |

| Animation's beautiful, the story is something that has been done before so not as original as first seen. Sound's alright and characters are unusual, kind of look like plushies from Walmart but okay. Overall, a decent start. Hopefully, the romance is limited and the MC actually learns something from being in this other world so she can take it back to her world and fix her storyboard and make her movie. Show us the power of anime or something idk... If it's a full blown isekai throughout then this may be dropped but 4/5 so far. |

| Another original anime from MAPPA except this time they are doing their own take on isekai fantasy. A famous animator gets isekaied into an animated fantasy movie after eating an expired bento. While being in the new word she discovered that she can change the outcome of the story by drawing whatever she wants after saving the heroes from a void attack. The animation was well done in big moments. Hopefully it will be better than their last original anime in BUCCHIGIRI?! |

| This is a very interesting concept for an anime. I'm not really certain if I'm going to enjoy this one but I can say for certain the art looks good, and it's quality. I just don't know if its going to manage to keep my attention with the plot. This Unicorn can die for all I care The hero is meh the robot is probably going to be annoying IMO Some questions that this episode brings up for me; are the things she write going to the real world, and how are the things that she changes going to domino effect and change the rest of the current world she is in? Will it end up better or worse and will it get published in the real world? |

| I’m kinda tired of isekai now, and an isekai with a female mc is even less entertaining imo. Maybe if it were more realistic of a setting with a real rom com plot line I would continue, but I think this will be a pass from me. |

| The synopsis had me totally fooled into thinking this was a slice of life/romance. A story called "A Tale of Perishing" being so grim checks out. But since Natsuko really loves the story, it might be a great opportunity for some artistic inspiration. |

| Wow. That really wasn't what I was expecting based on what I read in the synopsis. I really don't know what to think. It might be my own fault but based on the trailer, this was probably the seasonal I was most looking forward to and yet, it's completely different from what it passed itself off as. Having said that, the first episode still intrigued me somewhat, and that animation in the scene against the void army (or whatever they are) was gorgeous. I'm confused, let down, but....I'm still here, and I'm still interested. See you next week, Zenshuu. |
