| The reason of her bullying and so on joining the band she loves, that's one shitty situation. Both Momoka and Nina now has bone to pick with them. They were both hellbent on not changing and becoming something they didn't want to. Loved the character interactions again and the performance was good, specially the animation. Momoka and Nina throwing drinks at each other lolz. |

| Man Nina really needs friends at her "school" if only so she has someone to sell her tickets to. I wonder if she got bullied because she is a gremlin or the other way around.. So if the band pays for the tickets up front, how does the club know which ones have been actually sold? I mean they did not have the name of the band on them, did they? So I assume profits get split? Club dude is a real one, gets free tickets to a big band and doesnt go because he is only supporting small ones. Fascinating choice to have traditional animation mixed in with 3DCG here. The dude from the other band at the end as well! Makes for strong contrast. Here comes the drama! Though I feared it would be the girl who bullied her, not a former friend. Momokas situation is also interesting.. she really did betray her friends. The energy of the animation did not match the energy of the song, but it was still good. Honestly surprised 3DCGI works so well here. (just shows that most CGI is just used wrong in other shows) Didnt like the song much, this is the issue with music anime, if its not your taste it just feels off. But I still have hope, since void is fantastic. PS: Does anyone know what they each do for a living? I guess Subaru doesnt have to work, but Nina probably has a job, right? |

| Boy, I could watch Momoka harass that guitar and Subaru abuse those drums forever lol. Another great socks-off rocking performance at the end, and after such an emotion filled episode too, if only these girls could choose a non-public place to do their shouting matches lol, but hey that’s a concert in its own way for the bystanders. I do hope we eventually learn the exact reason why Momoka dropped out of her old band, but I’ll take what we got for now. There was also the reveal that a friend Nina had a falling out with is actually the new lead vocalist for her favorite band, ain’t that some universe giving a middle finger type shit lol, but she sounded good tho and looked like she fit in the group, it’s like Subaru said that she must have stood out in the audition. But I get why Nina feels the way she feels, and I gotta say I loved reading “indistinguishable gremlin noises” in the subs lol, so thank you for being an angry gremlin on main Nina. |

I already said in a comment from a previous episode that I'm not a fan of CGI, but honnestly, it's really well done here, with a lot of visual nuances I haven't seen much in other musical anime with a more traditional animation. Still not a fan visually, but really really appreciate the level of art and effort put in that anime. 💖💖💖 |

I love her so much is insane, she is so nice and funny, and so mature, so inteligent. I also love how she is always lying about dumb stuff to make herself look good in front of other people, that makes her even more likable since we do know how she really is ❤️ |

| Nina badgering on Momoka and raging against Diamond Dust was a little grating... I get that Momoka's attitude is kind of frustrating, but it's really not relevant enough for Nina to derail practice sessions and start questioning the band. Why does it matter that Momoka doesn't want to talk about her former band? They have a ton of work to do as a new band anyways, maybe focus on that? They're there to make and play music, not to act out their issues and hold therapy sessions. Nina came across as way too selfish here. As Subaru (I think) says, Diamond Dust is not something that's special to only Nina. At the end of the day she's nothing more than a fan, and if an ex-member doesn't let it affect her, what gives a fan the right to get all emotional and drag this out in the open? I guess all's well that ends in an exciting live performance. They'll probably address this conflict later, but things got a little too frustrating for me. |
| It's just personal preference, I but I would have liked Nina's singing voice to be more scratchy and rough to reflect the lyrics. I'm always expecting her singing to sound like she's screaming into the void, but it instead comes out way softer and coherent than I'd like. That aside, I'm also noticing that less important characters are 2D compared to the 3D main characters and characters important to particular scenes and episodes. It certainly makes the characters we're supposed to pay attention to stand out, but I'm not sure if this is intentional or a result of production-related decisions. |
