| It was okay I guess. Glad to see animation quality's back on track, but I would've loved to see more action. I gotta say the battles in this anime are pretty awesome. |

Every episodes where they fought were always glorification of Enterprise and nothing more. On the other hand, it showed promising talent in showcasing other girls and their slice-of-life daily activities, which were among the best episodes. Sure, it'd be the best if they can balance out good action scenes and CGDCT, but so far, all battle scenes we got were far from good. They're focusing their effort and talent in wrong place. And I doubt majority of game-players want Azur Lane to be a full-blown action-packed 12-episode shounen battle. Like J_B said, the game was never like that and battles are just an excuse to see our favorite shipfus in full glory. And the anime is barely doing that. Even previous Enterprise fans in game are getting tired of the anime's constant dick-sucking of her so I can't fathom why you want more of that "crap". /rant We've reached episode 9 and only 3 left but still no sign of other Ironblood's major ships except Eugen. I'm not even a big fan of IB but I'm starting to feel sorry for its fans who're probably waiting for some popular ships' appearance like Bismarck, Tirpitz, Graf Zeppelin etc. |

As a fan of history I'm actually really enjoying that part. The issue with this approach is that most of the ships don't have a clear place in the story. There are some very popular ships that did very little due to being somewhere else or due to them sinking. HMS Hood had a disastrous combat record that flies in the face of her power in game. The Germany ships did very little in WWII, with the lion-share of the work performed by submarines. There are numerous ships like that, and that makes it hard to tell a good story. The single reason that Enterprise has received so much focus in the anime is that no other ship at any point in history has been so impactful for her nation. Her story is the story of the United States Navy in WWII. She was at almost every important battle and was often the deadliest ship in that battle. It's for similar reasons that Zuikaku gets so much more focus in the games than the other carriers. Zuikaku was the best Japanese carrier, and always bested Enterprise when they fought each other. |

| Laffey is at the top of "best girl" ranking... Javelin isn't bad too, she's pretty funny at times, But I still like boobicorn. Also, LOL @ Arc Royal ___ ___ ___ Hmm... I guess the Siren are going to corrupt Kaga since Akagi is knocked-out ATM. And Enty is still having her self-moments... |

| A pretty calm episode after all that action and drama, nice. We also get to see other girls animated such as Long Island, the Beaver Squad and etc. I'm glad to see more of Prinz Eugen too, she's the one who got me started on the game. Ah, German engineering that captures the heart... |

| I was happy they showed Ayanami in her NicoNico skin/outfit when she got up in the middle of the night, it's a shame it was only a 2 second shot and she was back in default when talking to Enterprise though. Anyways, I think the SoL type episodes work better than the action heavy ones, but with only 3 left I doubt there'll be much time for relaxed stuff  |

| Guess we went back to the extremely boring episodes with little to no story progression... Not gonna lie, I lowkey want one of the lolis to die... or sink, I don't know. Maybe that way, the story might become interesting enough. |
| Now that I think about it.. What kind of name for a ship is Enterprise?.. Aren't business firms called enterprises?.. Why name ship "a business company"?.. Well, maybe name is given for its' other meaning.. Which is more rarely used nowadays, I feel.. Something like the serious as in business, confident one, requiring energy, and stuff like that.. I think in this sense name Enterprise actually suits her personality.. Damn, Charles Ausburne actually said how things are.. Didn't expect others also respecting the trying to save your friends.. If it's enemy.. But Charles said that.. And Laffey even says that whole base doesn't see Ayanami as an enemy?.. Really?.. Well, admirable, if so.. If ship girls can still see person in their enemy.. Though, I'm a bit surprised that it's like so.. Wait.. Did Laffey just ate those pancakes in one bite?.. ;o Damn, she had to be hungry.. Well, episode centered more around how captured enemies are being treated in Azur Lane camp.. Still a bit strange to believe ship girls view their enemies like that.. But well, they still see persons even in enemies.. |

| Ayanami and the gang: "Yey, fun shops and stuff!" Sakura Empire girls: *Lots and lots of crying* LMAO. This perfectly demonstrates Azur Lane's tones throughout the series. I see they're very faithful to the: One episode fight, one episode slice of life where we show you all the characters from the game, then another episode fight, slice of life, fight, etc. So basically my attention goes: "Ah this is interesting, Hmmm ok, Ah! fights!, Hmmmh lolis got it." Yeah not a huge fan of the Laffy, Javalin side story. Enterprise X Belfast FTW!! Luckily I dont think theres anymore slice of life after this since its getting to the final fight. |

| So nobody mentioned this so I am assuming I am the resident tarot nerd and no one else caught it. I snapped some photos of the screen when I saw they were doing a tarot reading and the cards are The Star, The Hanged Man, The Tower in reverse, and The Fool. Ayanami is the one being read for. Her cards emphasize the plot around her. The Star is balance between logic and intuition and about finding who you really are at your core, The Hanged Man represents a change of perspective and letting go of old behaviours or ideas. The Tower in reverse position in this spread points to personal transformation. And finally the Fool almost always always represents new beginnings and journeys. The fact that they took such care to put in the details of a plot driven fortune telling is awesome. ❤🃏❤ This little attention to detail makes this episode 5/5 for me. |
