By the way it's not true that demons cannot feel the taste of food. In the manga, Sebastian tasted all the indian spices in order to get a good combination, so they just invented that for the anime.

I'm just guessing that people hate this season because Sebastian has to suffer..
What did you all want it to end like? The last?
That would be too predictable, and kuroshitsuji II is not predictable.
An ending as out there and weird like this, was what I expected, and it's what we got.

People still really love the manga, even though...things happened
(can't spoil manga)...I just don't see how people can hate this ending.
I understand, poor Sebastian..but in a way I think he deserved it, but the other side of me is just pitying him.

I actually quite liked the ending, wasn't an atrocity like some are making out. Then again if they do a third season(which I hope they will) I hope theres a lengthy time lapse between season 2 and 3 because if 3 launched straight back into the story where 2 left off it would be utterly terrible. I can definatly forsee them taking the characters to America and picking up say 10 years on or something if they wanted to make one.

I think this was the only way it could possibly go. Otherwise we could have predicted it.
I think we should not mix the anime with the manga, because really, it's a completely different thing.
Ciel is a completely different person in the manga, he smiles a lot more.
Anyway we can't even be sure that Sebastian will end up eating Ciel's soul in the manga, so I guess we should learn to be flexible, and I like the idea of Ciel with a prospect of life.
Has anyone read Interview with the vampire? Weren't you reminded of Claudia when you saw Demon!Ciel? It was the first thing I thought about.

Ciel to America? O.O Gosh no I really can't picture that. By the way, I really don't think how they could make a third series that wouldn't break the heart of many fans. I mean Yana ended the series like this because this way Sebastian and Ciel are stuck together forever, but if she and the producers decide to make a third series, it could only be about Sebastian rebelling against Ciel, and we would see them turn against each other. It would be pointless, I mean if it has to go like that then Sebastian should simply have taken Ciel's soul.

Well everything that could have been said has, so.

I agree with the people that didn't like the ending. Ciel becoming a demon and Seby not getting his soul = disappointment.

All that work for nothing. It wouldn't be too bad if Seby didn't mind, but you can obviously tell he does not like this outcome. Fail season. I only liked a few of the middle episodes, not the first or the last few.

Could someone tell me how it ends in the manga please though?

I must say I like Ciel's new gothic look. At least he's wearing something that isn't blue. I LOVE when Yana makes those long posts on her blog about the characters' clothes XD she said we would see a lot of new clothes during this season, what was your favourite?
I personally was very fond of Alois' booty shorts, his vampire dress, and that orange jacket with the red ribbon he wore in episode eight, in the flashback, when Claude was wearing that horrible green uniform.
As for Ciel, I liked his pirate costume, his new black,gothic,demon!look, and the light blue dress Claude made him wear when he was at the Trancy estate.

Ok, this ending made me go "WTF!?" In fact, this whole season was kind of "WTF" to me.

Don't get me wrong, I think it's quite intriguing as a standalone series, but I get the feeling that A-1 studios are milking the Kuroshitsuji name. That, and I really wanted to see the Noah's Arc Circus arc animated.

So, what now, a season III documenting the adventures of Ciel the demon and his grudgingly loyal butler, Sebastian? *facepalm* (I hate myself for saying this, but I kind of want to see that actually. And Ciel's demon clothes look so nice too. But I wish that they would stick to the manga's plot too.).

Well, at least the loose ends were tied up. *shrugs*

Woohoo, the ending I loved and made my day at some point. The atmosphere was perfect, all those WTF moments gave me something unexpected and cool.Good ending for Hannah and Alois ^^ Also... at some point for Ciel but definitely not for Sebastian... C'mon, did you saw his inner expression at all those "...forever my butler" moments? xD And still, I'm not quite sure if I'm so happy about that open-minded ending... Well, maby it'd be better if Ciel was dead :>
Anyway, nice second season, it was definitely worth of watching ^^v

Oh, and also that scene were Alois and Ciel were sitting together was... just great. It had such a nice feeling (hah, don't even know how to call that xD)

I absolutely hated the ending. And the whole second season was a disappointment imo. I'm still hoping they'll animate the manga, but that probably won't happen...

The ending to season 1 was far more superior.

Akuma Ciel wasn't on my wish-list. Just like a Sebastian-who-will-never-eat-Ciel-his-soul.
I am disappointed and not amused. I expected a better ending than this.
Only for Sebastian I rated this episode as OK.

Could have been so much better. D:

Because that was how it was supposed to end. Ciel dying with dignity and completing the contract with Sebastian. It was a very emotional episode.

This was... just too weird and stupid. I was happy that Sebastian took care of Claude, though.

The whole season I was hoping the whole Trancy thing would just be an arc. Too bad they had to base whole of season 2 around it.

Anyway, I'm so very disappointed.

This season was fabulous. They did so much crazy, fun stuff. I'll never say this was a solid series because it was really all the WTF that made this so enjoyable. I like the new cast way more than any (all) of the secondary characters in the manga canon and Alois more than Ciel. I WILL MISS HIM. ;_;

Sometimes, things don't go the way you want them to..and sometimes,
things don't end the way they are supposed to.
Ciel dying with dignity and completing the contract with Sebastian, was would would have obviously happened, but this is Kuroshitsuji we are talking about.
Things just don't end that way, and sometimes, it's for the best.
Why for the best? Because If they just left it at Ciel's soul being devoured,
there wouldn't really be any questions left after wards.

They like to keep us thinking and guessing, that is what a good anime does.

I haven't been this disapointed in an anime ending since...
Nop, I've never been this disapointed about the ending of an anime ^^

I mean, yeah, people die, even main characters die in a typical ending; sometimes it's an open ending; sometimes it's a happy ending; others it's a sad ending; but this one was just a WTF ending :|. And that's because they totally nullified the premise of the story, the contract between a demon and a human from which the human will get his revenge and the demon will get to eat his soul.

And if I think about it, can't Sebastian like break the contract because his part of the deal wasn't fulfilled? That'd be the logical thing to do, but it's not like this series was ever about the logic /:|

Sorry, I don't understand or agree with whoever wrote this ending, even if it's the amazing Yana Toboso that draws the manga herself. I'm not gonna complain about it, nor am I gonna stop reading the manga, but I will surely think twice before watching the third season that I can just smell it's gonna pop out soon [because Kuro is a money-maker, let's be honest...]

Terrible season and sequel. I really wished they didn't make a second season if it was going to be this disastrous. Never liked Alois or Claude, and I couldn't care about their stories. 5/10
