| It wouldn't surprise me if the "second batch" of one piece fav removals were all the same person. If one person makes 4000 alt accounts, of course they're gonna fav the same chars on all of them and those are the chars that will lose favourites. Edit: Actually that's the wrong way of putting it. Better would be to say that it would surprise me if it was anything else. |

| Just came across this thread by accident. I really don't fathom the amount of fanaticism for "boosting" scores of fictional content. At least Amazon review farms have a purpose of making a company money through sales due to positive reviews. This is more like kiddie fan crush efforts to prop up toy soldiers. The effort involved is real .... just not realistically constructive. Good efforts by MAL to normalize their ranking systems. Not sure how effective it will be but good efforts towards a positive goal!! 9/10.....LOL |

| Considering the fact that none of these rankings have any meaningful impact, I cannot imagine how sad and pathetic one must be to make many accounts boosting a character or anime they are obsessed with. If there was some sort of awards or something, maybe, but NOTHING? Jesus Christ on a cross. |

| Oh, so this boosting was a thing after all. I always saw my notif always getting "this character has reached # members". So that was some dudes who loves the series that they would do anything to notice their beloved characters. What vanity it is😤. I just hope people these days aren't swayed because of its high ranking achievements but instead criticize it themselves. I am thankful that there are some measures getting implemented to secure the integrity of myanimelist for fairness. I hope there's still more to be done. P.S. Baiting must stop. |
| It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it, is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service. |

He dropped by 60,000-70,000 favorites lol. That's a lot of favorites, it's just that he has so many genuine ones that make the drop seem small. Levi also dropped by 40,000-50,000 favorites. |
