| I don't like seafood, I don't like sushi. Heck, I don't like Chinese food. I've hated a majority of the Asian foods I've tasted in my life. It's always hilarious to me when anime fans force themselves to eat things they don't like just to secure their place in the fandom or whatever the heck they're doing. |
| I find that behavior rather hilarious as well, though there are too many people who assume the two are interrelated no matter what. I've been eating Asian food a lot longer than I've been watching anime, for one. |

| I can't stand the smell of sushi, so I can't say I'd enjoy it if I actually tried it. I HATE more than anything else when people indulge themselves in Japanese culture and often pretend to accept it more than they'd really want to just because they're obsessed with anime and manga. I'm so glad I don't have to be that way to enjoy certain things all the same. |

| Well I finally went to a revolving sushi bar near Nagoya with my buddy and ate sushi for the first time. Its so damn deceiving. You think it wont ever fill you up, it looks so small and light, but after 6 plates I was stuffed. I'd eaten sashimi a lot the last few months, and got to appreciate its simplicity and taste, though wouldnt call myself a fan. Sushi is better in that there's more variety but my attitude to that is the same as sashimi really. Doesnt beat cooked food. Gimme hot tempura over the damp cold stuff any day. Note: sushi bars in the UK and USA charging ridiculous prices should be avoided. Dont encourage the bastards. Sushi is so dirt cheap in Japan its just insulting to pay so much to eat it in London or wherever. |

| Why does everyone think of Sushi as just raw fish.. Sushi = vinegared rice... it has nothing to do with fish having raw fish on Sushi is like having anchovy on a pizza.. If you don't like anchovy, than you don't get anchovy on your pizza, if you don't like raw fish, you don't get it on your Sushi. If you hate eating rice, than I can understand why you won't like Sushi. |

| I love sushi, but it's not a favorite of mine. But then again, I like the spicy rolls and some of the fried ones. I don't think they're authentic at all, but they're good. I like making sushi though. It's fun. \o/ |

I believe that's where the ultra-spicy wasabi plays a role... it kills the bacteria that goes down with the raw food. |

| I've liked sushi for a long time, I love fish/seafood though, I have always loved salmon I buy it whenever I can afford it and I love it in sushi. Spicy Tuna rolls, salmon, and eel are my favorite. Fuck, I've MADE my own sushi, so if I didn't like it I doubt I would go through the trouble. There are tons of people who don't like anime though that like sushi. My mom loves sushi too, just as much as me. I think some people who like anime do just pretend to like it or over-hype it *shrugs* If they want to be immature and pretend to like food they think tastes bad then more power to them, I'll spend my money on whatever I do want to eat. |
