| Of course Jeanne D'Arc had to be a Mahou Shoujo :D Great, Homura is actually even more fucked than expected. She literally has no other choice but to keep trying and trying to save Madoka and for every failed attempt, she ends up increasing the amount of power Madoka has in each timeline. Is this the true definition of an endless circle of despair? One more episode to go. |
| Best part has to be the sequence where Homura Michael Bays the Walpurgis with impeccable timing. Even if she made no dent in it, it just goes to show how much she pre-prepared for this battle. Her going repeatedly back in time just to save Madoka really speaks volumes about her character; she isn't the cold-hearted person people make her out to be. And when she acts that way, it's only due to the circumstances. This really does give me the same vibes as Higurashi. |

| Kyubei is incredibly smooth is at gaslighting people. The fact is, the miracles he provides aren't the cause of all this despair, its the horrors he puts these girls through after he provides their wish. But Kyubei probably has millenia of experience at lying and damn has he gotten good at it. |

| So not only has Kyubey been manpuliating girls into becoming Magical Girls for a while it turns out he has been doing this FOR DECADES OF OUR HUMAN HISTORY! Think about that for a sec, Cleopatra, Joan D’Arc, just major figure in history he’s been there since the dawn of cavemen from the sound of it but even with his delusional monologging he acts like we are just cows and other sorts of farm animals waiting to be slaughtered and put on tables for meals I mean he’s not wrong with this assessment but at the same time it’s a really screwed up way of thinking I both love and hate his sort of ideology about us really. The day when Walpurgis Nacht arrives and my god Homura you were crazy prepared for this witch in particular because it feels like she just bought the whole army’s worth of weapons because she has so much ammunition I mean I knew she was kinda taking weapons from the local police but jeez there’s nothing to level a WHOLE CITY HERE. But even with enough firepower it’s still not enough against this witch and she was very close to dying there if it weren’t for Madoka’s interference. That aside the action? Still pretty awesome I’m not gonna lie. The episode just ends on the mother of all cliffhangers, wow what a finish is all I can say. So much despair, so much despair all in one episode is what I can sum up this entire episode. It’s definitely leading up to something big here. Otherwise awesome episode. |
