| Hum... well, I gotta say, I was always qualified as someone who can take horror and gore pretty well. But, the ONLY anime that ever disturbed me of all types of movies etc was Gantz NEVER in my life have I almost puked infront of a gore/horror movie and right there, I think it was on episode 4 or something with little green guy head exploding, and i swear i felt for the first time in my life, my stomach turn and tasting puke at the bottom of my throat. Traumatic experience. Keep away, kids. I have no idea why the hell that traumatized me (BTW that's why i can't take "weird" anymore) cuz i've seen so much worse, starting from all the Saws, Blair Witch and Chuckies etc. (wich aren't that bad) EDIT: Gawd, see what dis crap has done to me -.- I couldn't even take the ending of School Days. Well, i guess it sensitized me |

| Umienko no Naku Koro ni is more disturbing than Higurashi is. I've played the VN for Umineko so I can say how much worse it is, although I didn't cringe like some of my friends did when we read what person X did to person X. |

| EDIT: Somehow messed up my posting in two topics, and accidentally posted the wrong one here. Oops! Anyways, Elfen Lied disturbed me a little bit, even though I just couldn't bring myself to like the series in a whole... Umineko is pretty psychotic at times, too. I don't know, I haven't seen a whole lot of disturbing anime. Can Death note count? I find that I don't get disturbed by much anything anymore. My sister can show me some gory, horrorific scene in a movie and I don't even flinch. |

| Higurashi was pretty disturbing in the first story but the violence became less surprising later on. Also, I felt Elfen Lied just tried too hard to be insane and the disturbing factor wore off. I would say ShadowStar Narutaru is the most disturbing anime I've seen, mostly because of the last couple of episodes. |
