| i quite enjoyed it, there arent that many serious action series this season (atleast non mecha ones). Animation was nice and action was entertaining enough |

| I guess one episode isn't really enough to pass judgment on all shows. I'll probably have to watch 2 more to make up my mind on whether this shows sucks or not. So far it's not delivering. |
| that was kinda good. i like the "tease" effect of makina's skirt though, kinda like linali(from d.gray-man) in which no matter which way the wind blew or even if the camera angle was from a worm's eye view, you'd never ever even see a glimpse of pantsu XD didn't know why the monk had to rip open her blouse in the beginning though...and the 108 shikabane's hasnt been explained yet(its kinda weird it is in the description when that premise wasn't even in the first ep) |

| Finally got to see this and im glad i did. Girls with guns is just something you CANT miss!! Aka is gonna be a good main character. I was getting tired of seeing all these shows where the supporting cast took all the spotlight. I wonder how much better the DVD version would be. Purple hair, School girl outfit, immortal... Aka wins on so many levels. |

| I thought this was quite nice though I had expected a lot more from the title, fine animation and fitting sound. Looks like something with good potential to me. I'll follow this with above average interest. Also the ED is awesome. |

| seemed like a standard first episode to me. A glimpse of combat hint of a story and a quick lesson on whos who and who can do what. Overall i'd say it has potential so i'll give it a few more eps. |

| It was good, alot of promise being it's Gainax, I need to rewatch the first bit it was a little confusing and the action was good. Doesn't the lead just scream destiny too. |

| Decent first episode with great animation, quite different from the 1st volume of manga. Gainax should've stuck with the 1st chapter's haunted house story, but I'll definitely be back for more. |

| lame episode, and i can already tell that lots of plot will be glossed over for gags and guns. I was left underwhelmed by the show as a whole...especially the animation for the vampire bat thing, it looked like both the man-bat from batman and Mobius man-bat from spiderman, plus, super lazy animation of the fur in the action sequences. It looked childish. |
| Well, it's certainly not bad but isn't this kind of... normal? I mean, it's gainax, and this seems like a typical supernatural/action series. And if you want to compare it to other supernatural/action series this season, Ga-rei Zero was much more impressive. I'll watch and hope. The first episode of Gurren Lagann didn't get me hooked, either. |

| So, the animation is great since this is a GAINAX anime, and the ED by Angela is wonderful as usual. The start is a little slow but very intriguing and promising, and I already like the two main characters. I'll follow this show closely, for sure ! |

| I agree with the majority here, I was also disappointed with this, and it's a shame because I was really looking forward to it. I hope they explain the talking cat next episode. D: Although, I thought the fight scene part where the evil shikabane was pushed into the purple neon sign was cool. I look forward to hearing the angela songs next week. :) |

| Hmm. Nothing really stood out to me, but it is by Gainax so... I'll watch this till it ends most likely. :) Ep got 4/5 from me, mainly because the animation was pretty good. |

| well, that was good. i didn't have too many expectations on this, but i guess i found it really good. although, i expect great animation, and story by gainax. the art was pretty good, i liked it i also found the main girl's VA rather plain sometimes. she could have done a better job. the main guy was ok. no OP yet, sadly the story seems promising, i think i will like it once it grows on me. lol @ ecchi magazines put in by force xD i found the girl at school a little cute... though, not too moe... the main girl... the shikabane girl that is, was rather cute.. when she wasnt shown with a lot of injuries. poor guy... to let go of so much stuff, and have a girl slap him in less than 10 mins.... and cat talking too... though... why DID she slap him... she seemed to be smiling... girls with guns is kinda hard to fail me... so... i liked it. i got interested in what will happen next... i really want to see next episode... lastly, yay for lunar for picking this up. |

Felt the same way. For me it was mediocre at best. 3/5 If the next two episodes follow lead of the first, straight to drop it goes. |
| I'm very "meh" about it myself. The premise itself could be interesting and I like the bit with the older brother and the Shikabane hime and wonder what kind of relationship they have, but both the characters and the first episode's plot seem to be too generic. I have a question for you though (please don't laugh): you keep saying "it's from Gainax, so I'll give it another chance." But Gainax is only adapting this story from a manga, so it (the story) isn't theirs, yet you treat it as if they were the ones writing it. *is confused* Why is that? |

| the first episode was enjoyable, gotta admit expectations were high when Gainax's last production was a massive hit, this ain't no tengen toppa gurren lagann for sure. you would be disappointed if you are expecting this to be but any anime that manages to make me laugh even for a bit is a keeper. |

| You are all so disappointed. Oh woe woe... Maybe you shouldn't have had so high expectations then, huh? I thought it'll suck a lot but after first ep i can that it isn't so bad. And it's much better than harem crap. It's like "bottle is half full/half empty" situation. Everything depends on how you look at it. And show feels like Hellsing (TV version for me) somehow. And i've been craving for this wonderful feeling for ages. 4½ out of 5 for me. |

| A pretty mediocre start, but that's just how GAINAX shows are, they don't usually start of with a bang. The actions scenes weren't that impressive though Makina using Uzis was reminiscent of that one episode of FLCL where Naota is having a duel with his old man for Haruko's heart. lol. |

| Hmm they seem to be deviating from the manga storyline by including that kid in there. I can't remember his name since he doesn't really look all that important... Well whatever the manga's pretty decent. Plot is simple yet kickass. Take a 'zombie' girl, have her kill other zombies with her monk sidekick, repeat the same formula for each arc, profit? |
