Worth giving K-ON!! a try!?!?

Careful now. You'll want to watch K-ON!, with 1 exclamation point first, haha. The K-ON! is the first season, while K-ON!! is the 2nd. It's a genius naming scheme, I know...

I'd disagree with Cratex and would say I'd think you'd like it because some of the other things you've liked are heavily dependent on the characters and their personalities (like Boku wa Tomodachi) rather than plot developments, so I think you'd like K-ON as well.

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm off to watch Shinryaku! Ika Musume.
Err, I mean Shinryaku!? Ika Musume.
True, the plot isn't that important to me. I like animes with some sort of humor and interessant characters so i guess i give K-ON a shot.

And now i'm off to watch the latest episode of Boku wa Tomodachi ;)
Thx for all the replies btw!

Hey, I'm looking for an anime/manga that is like Pastel, I''s and Suzuka.
Any recommendations? ^^

EDIT: Anime that is like True Tears, and Kimikiss Pure Rouge

Manga that might be somewhat similar to Suzuka:
Hana Kimi
Power!
Crimson Hero
They're all kinds of sportsy romances.

Anime similar to Kimikiss Pure Rouge and True Tears (in my opinion)
Peach Girl
Itazura Na Kiss
Myself; Yourself

Also, I saw from your anime list that you watched a few Ghibli movies. Maybe you might enjoy these few as well:
Spirted Away
Castle in the Sky
Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind
Kiki's Delivery Service

Hope this helps!=^_^=

Out of them, Berserk is dark medieval fantasy.
Spice and Wolf has a medieval Europe like setting.

adding
Romeo x Juliet

I can't think of any other titles right now... but I'll try to look up a few later.

Studio Bones is well known for their excellent animation especially in fight scenes. They also did the Full Metal Alchemist series which offers, yet again, great fight scenes with fluid animation and is not interupted by random power ups or explainations. The first series detaches from the manga but it's still a great standalone series. FMA: Brotherhood loyally follows the manga and is the better of the two imo. Either way you won't be disappointed.
What do you think you're piloting? Great Mazinger? Dangaioh? For Pete's sake, this isn't some robot cartoon whose main character is an autistic kid or some punk. - Kiichi Goto, Mobile Police Patlabor

Thanks I tried watching both seasons of FMA about a year ago, it wasn't that the fights were below what I was expecting, I just generally have zero tolerance for humor that uses over the top reactions. I know that DTB sometimes had these moments but overall it was a far more serious anime. Cowboy bebop also comes to mind as a fairly serious anime with great animation, so as you can see I have a love for Bones. Looking through the anime they've been a part of I can't see anything else that strikes my attention, so I guess i'm asking what other studios are well known for their animation in fight scenes?

@CrabGuy

Well, Production IG generally does animation very well, testament to the quality of Seirei no Moribito and the Ghost in the Shell movies. The former is generally slower paced than what you're used to judging from your list but the action scenes are far from second rate. I recommend GitS if you want to get a nice dose of cyberpunk, introspective themes and great fight scenes.

If you liked Cowboy Bebop then try the sister series Samurai Champloo. It's directed by the same dude and combines hip hop with feudal Japan to make for an interesting experience. Of course, the fight scenes are top notch as one would expect from Bebop. I'll also throw out a movie done by Studio Bones called Sword of the Stranger. It basically has everything you're looking for. The seriousness, the fights, the animation, etc. Type in "sword of the stranger fight" on Youtube and have a little preview if if you don't believe me. Well, I hope I helped!

@hao-sama

Do check out the titles I mentioned above. The first two are are seinen than shounen but it's a great change of pace without getting too much outside shounen bounds. There are also Fate/stay night, Fate/Zero, and Tetsuwan Birdy Decode that are similar to what you're looking for. Durarara!! and Baccano! are not your typical battle shounen but they should fit as well.
