| They rushed that cosplay group lmao. I think I liked it more in anime format. The manga was eternal (and there were many delays and the start of the hiatus, so it felt even longer to finish). Now there's only one arc left. Considering how popular this series is I think they will do a movie to finish it off. |

| This season had better moments then the first, but i think it was weaker. It had good messages and plot points (just be honest with our interestes and acept each other). But i think it was a weak ending. Would be extremly disapointed if they arent going to finish the entire Anime. But i think its also impossible not to, its a sucessful series, but may take its time. |

| I enjoyed this season a lot. The entire show felt like a passion project to me because of all the innovative elements and creative liberty they applied to some of the episodes. My Dressup Darling S2 is one of the anime that I always look forward to every Sunday. I also can't handle horror very well. When I saw the group cosplay, and then all the fake blood splashed throughout the table, along with the fake eyeballs, I was impressed. This is not a horror anime. This is not a horror anime. This is NOT a horror anime, I kept telling myself. xD So that's why Akira couldn't make eye contact with Marin or ever talk to her. She was too shy in her presence because Akira was a big fan of Marin. Then, Akira goes into a mental breakdown when Marin finally talks to her cheerfully. Ah, how sweet. xD Agh, just a selfie at the end without a proper confession. Oh well. I still enjoyed this season. Another one of my favorite episodes was episode 6, where there's this super cute girl from their class with gray hair and a bit of black tones on her hair that I only got to see in one episode, IIRC. She was great! The 2nd season is still going to be a 10/10 for me, and nothing's going to change my mind. :) |

Oh look, someone needs a cosplay stitched, and guess who came back from the dead to do it... our good old simpleton drone, Gojou. And ofc the crossdressing weirdo is back too... like anyone actually cares. At this point, I feel like we’ve been doing nothing but a photoshoot for the last 3–4 episodes, or maybe my memory’s broken, because I can’t recall anything else. One thing I do remember: we were supposed to have a confession... wait, where is it? Oh right, this show doesn’t actually do romance. Almost as forgettable as the whole season, but hey, we move on.
Speaking of forgettable, who even are half these characters? Even outside of cosplay, the group dynamics are weak, not helped by the mediocre, boring supporting cast. It’s honestly baffling how, after all this, I still can’t tell who’s who... oh wait, that’s not my fault. And did I mention again that literally nothing happened? Oh, and miss crossdressing lady or whatever her name is, look at her, a hardcore, like really hardcore simp. So that makes her soooo cute, right? RIGHT???? Makes me wonder what was even the point of this character besides just adding another face to Marin’s endless queue of fangirls?
This season is actually horrendous and a baffling attempt at turning into a SOL. Newsflash show: to make a good SOL, you need good characters. I can’t even name one here, but hey, keep trying, because it’s clear you’re not putting any effort into the romance side. This and Takopii have really shown me how much people can be blinded by sakuga and flashy direction into thinking nothing-burger shows like these are good. Literally the definition of “carried by animation,” and I hate to even use that term.
This whole scene was absolutely pathetic lol. What a terrible way to end a season. They didn’t even tease a certain character at the end, so fingers crossed that means season three isn’t happening.

Whatever comes in future seasons will not be too good, but it'll improve a ton when they finally say what they need to say to each other (yeah, Facebook is horrible with all of the manga spoilers). | Well we learned the truth about Akira, except we didn’t because it was incredibly obvious and I wish they just told us sooner and instead let this reveal be for Marin, not her and us viewers, I found the way they dragged it out to be kinda annoying but I suppose it is what it is, I did like the way Akira freaked out over her “oshi” so I’ll give it that. Rest of the episode was really good tho, the Coffin cosplay ripped shit, and I really liked the slight Sajuna focus it had with her having a recollection of the past with her mom, poor girl just can’t handle the horror but as a horror fan, I love seeing her scared stiff lol. And the final moments of the episode featuring the main couple were really good too, it’s a shame Marin couldn’t say the magic words but it’s not like it would’ve meant much right at the end of the season anyway, there would be no time to enjoy it, so I really hope a third season is a possibility, or even a finale movie, I will turn to the manga if I have to of course but I’m gonna wait and hold out hope for a bit first, because I’m stubborn like that lol. And that was it for the long waited sequel to My Dress-Up Darling, it was over in the blink of an eye but it was worth the wait, I thought this season was amazing, I really loved the content along with the beautiful production from CloverWorks. Yeah it’s a shame some of the fanservice was toned down, but there was still plenty of it to enjoy, and there was plenty of cosplay goodness to go around as well, adding more characters to the show really added a lot in that aspect, one of them being Amane, who was a cool fella when out of cosplay and pretty hot when he’s in cosplay, yeah I’m not afraid to admit it lol. There did come one downside with the amount of characters added tho, and that’s less time for Gojo and Marin, and that is a shame, but I can say there was enough of the two of them to satisfy me, I didn’t have a big problem with it personally. And the OP and ED were another pair of bangers, I especially thought the ED was cool with its 80s-like style, really gonna miss hearing them every week. And with that, Season 3 or movie please! Make it happen! |

| I really liked the studio they had for this shoot. It wasn't in some fancy high rise building, but instead it felt much more grounded being on some random Tokyo street inside some small unassuming building. It's a bit hard to describe, but it gave it a more charming vibe. This episode exemplified how much I love the backgrounds in this series. They're so painstakingly detailed. I find it strange how it feels as though they brushed Juju's phobia of horror and her being uncomfortable in general under the rug. She was more or less pressured into doing this shoot, and it's as if no one really took her feelings into account. It's nice that she was able to branch out and cosplay with others, but she had some trauma from her mother that may be a reason why she doesn't like horror. Overall, I think this season was a step back from the first season. The first season was almost perfect, the ever growing relationship between Gojo and Marin, the discovery and joy of the world of cosplay, it was fantastic. But this season focused on characters that don't matter, and spent way too much time on a single aspect of cosplay, which was crossdressing. It felt like for most of the season, the relationship between Gojo and Marin was a bit of an afterthought, rather than the focus. But the show is at its best when it's focused on them. Sad to say that this season disappointed me, especially after waiting years to get it. Hoping season 3 isn't too far behind, and that it stops focusing on a crossdressing twink and instead focuses on the two main characters instead. 7/10 |

| Certainly didn’t expect Akira and Marin to make up this way. It was completely shocking and hilarious, but I loved it. It was adorable. Of course, Marin still couldn’t confess to Wakana, but that’s okay, since we’ll probably get more seasons anyway, where she’ll likely confess eventually. |
| I really like coffin, like in manga and the adaptation. The soundtrack is really good and also the plot. If it would be a real game, that will be great. Akira san fangirling was really funny lmao but I'm a bit disappointed about the ending, there's no tease with the next cosplay. I can't wait for the next season or movie. |

| Amazing ep Juju's nun attire looks like mimosa from black clover in a sense. All that blood got Juju tripping. Gojo a lil too happy doing that. Juju real asf for doing all that she can for her little sister. LMAO, Akira cannot contain her Marin glaze no longer. Cute lil selfie by Marin and Gojo. This ep adapted ch 82-86. The first few chapters of 86 to be exact. Was confused why they didn't adapt the rest of it, but ig this anime only moment is good, considering that leaving the for s3 as a mystery isn't actually a bad choice at all. 10/10 Dress Up Darling s2: 8/10 |

| I kinda liked Akira, but now I don't, they gave her the most stupid ass plot twist they could lmao I was expecting something like her hating Marin because she has always free to watch and do whatever she wants while she (Akira) wasn't, so she was jealous to the point of turning that into hate, as weird or dumb as it sounds that's something many people feel at least one time on their life... but no, it was even more stupd. Also, now they are literally showing viewers that total obsession towards a cosplayer is absolutely fine and actually helpful for your life, just wow. You know what happens when crazy ass people go crazy ass insane over a cosplayer, singer, actress, or whatever? They ruin their lifes, and many times they even do harm (or straight up kill) the person they are insane over, and I'm not joking, this is a real problem, ESPECIALLY in Japan, a country where people suicide for not being able to get closer to the person they are insane over, a country where people hate and harrass famous persons like seiyuus because they are getting married and shit, what they tried to tell us with the relationship between Akira and Marin is so fucking wrong, damn. Welp, other than that I liked the episode, and I liked this season, it was funny seeing Juju fkng die, and the end was dumb lol like did Gojo just break Marin's phone? lmao The new characters were ok I guess, I personally don't like crossdressers but the crossdresing guy was actually chill and cool so he gets a pass, he was a true bro to Marin and Gojo since the beginning. I'll be waiting for the 3rd season, this show overall is really mid, and I have some problems with it like Marin being so fkng perfect all the time, and Gojo being a literal robot, but whatever, it's fun and that's all what matters. |

| The show made me smile a lot week to week, and I really didn't have any issues with the season, but this last episode was weak. The Akira situation was predictably nothing, the cosplay after all that build came out to a couple scenes, and the non-confession at the end was obviously disappointing. Like why even taunt it? Who likes that? |
| Juju has even more of my respect than ever before. She might dislike horror games, but she didn't want to disappoint her sister, Shinju, upon a chance to cosplay in a group like this. Honestly, considering hoe squeamish she is around horror related themes, she did well to hold out for so long before she inevitably fainted. The whole group cosplay itself was fun and the detailing put into the props was excellent. Another thing that I'm glad was cleared up was the situation between Akira and Marin. In truth, Akira was a huge fan of the Lobelia cosplay Marin did and one photo of her in that outfit was enough to make Akira swoon for her. The main reason she distanced herself from Marin was that she would switch into hardcore fangirl mode, as this episode did well to showcase many times. Still, I'm glad for Akira. Considering how oppressive her upbringing was, it's really nice to see her having fun with people of like-minded interests and no one can tell her otherwise. =) I had a feeling that Marin didn't have it within herself to outright confess to Gojo outside of her apartment, but a pretty selfie with the two of them is a good enough compromise, I guess. Hopefully her smartphone didn't break by accident, though! XD Overall, My Dress Up Darling Season 2 continues to showcase the fun that this series has to offer. I always appreciate the details and research put into how the cosplay outfits work. The same goes to the animation staff for how beautiful this series looks and how excellent the animation is many times. Here's hoping we get a 3rd anime season in the near future. I'll be done with the manga by then, but I'll look forward to seeing the rest of it animated one day! |

I'm glad the group cosplay went very well and every participant was satisfied. Ehh, in the end Marin didn't confess to Gojo. Too bad, too bad. Well, maybe another time. ;D I liked this season. It was a tiny bit worse than Season 1 and its beginning was not as engaging, but all the charm was there, not to mention high production quality. I say that at the end of a day, I had as much fun as while watching Season 1. :) I hope there will be a sequel anime announced soon. |
