show really explores how a power system based on what the common people believe in about the heroes. Heroes become trapped by the general consensus, and an entire faction exists purely as propaganda to shape that public perception.

Despite the stunning technical side, the storytelling is lacking likely due to the fast pace of the episode. A couple of scenes isn’t enough to feel invested in these characters and why even bother to give any kind of sad background to wreck if two minutes later he is gone? I hope the writing will get better.

The 3d looks good but I think the lips flaps look a bit weird. Not a deal breaker at all though. I wish I was as an enthused as the high rating right now though. Probably the fast pace. There’s a lot of episodes so you would think they could slow down a bit. I’m still optimistic about this though. I just hope some of the problems are ironed out.

@Huntee1999 if the lip flaps looked a bit weird that might have been because you were watching the Japanese dub - the Chinese dub is the original, is the bottom option on crunchyroll I believe.

Why is everyone in love with this show? I think the argument and the style are so mediocre. I'm still watching this bc I have hope the argument could get better at any point. But, the animation? It's actually a shit (just my opinion). The drama by now has been dumb and doesn't follow an argument line, it just show off some stereotypical hero scenes.

I still have hope about this. What this show actually needs, is to make the public conect on a emotional way the protagonist bc by now, he only has been a dummy guy who become a superhero by "accident", he is nothing special.

Yep. Writing is pretty weak in this.

Animation is superb, and the mix of 2D and 3D animation is beautiful, but nothing about this is grabbing my attention when it comes to the story.

If it doesn't improve soon, it will be an easy drop for me.

@Yotsuba84 bro what, there's no AI here, the show is just great. This is from an established director, and you can see folks from all over talking about it. Yeah, the pacing is a bit fast, but I think the story concepts are very interesting and I'm engaged with seeing where it goes, especially the other character arcs from the PVs.

I like how bizarre the situation around Xiao Yueqing can be once they were in normal environment. She's the real deal and really true to her freedom identity, lol, not even give a damn with Nice romancing act till the end. Then to think about the previous episode cliffhanger, that is another concern. Though, this episode doesn't let that shit goes solve that instant, so a wait for the next two episodes to see what's goin to happen with Nice, or shall i say, Lin Ling, kinda a must.

I can't believe X is a character, and the sole mc? Damn, this is very interesting....

Started this anime today and just finished episode 2. Really great to watch, the presentation reminds me a lot of Ore Dake Level Up-na Ken. But 2 things are annoying so far:

1.) The cliffhanger of episode 1 is super-cheap, when it's just played off as a dream/hallucination at the start of episode 2. I hope this is later revealed to be something more serious.

2.) I really wish Lin Ling would have gotten to fuck Moon at least once. Not only did he deserve it, but I'm also tired of anime-heroes who are scared of sex.
If you haven't watched "Fantastic Children", don't talk about "best anime". Thank you.

Expected Moon's real personality and the nature of their relationship to be like this. But what was that the mc saw? It's certainly gonna be important and wasn't for no reason for sure.

It was a great thing that the mc did for Moon. Wishing that she can go anywhere, putting a stop to her curse of only being able to teleport to Nice. Really smart move. I really liked their interactions this episode and felt like that they had something genuine going on. So hoping we'll get to see her again someday. Btw she just left her teleporter gun, so she won't be able to use teleport anymore? Which indicates her decision to not be a hero and just travel I suppose. Also this episode hinted on a possible identity crisis for the mc as he mentioned his OCD getting worse.

I'm so glad ep 2 was as good as ep 1. I'm particularly fond of the beginning where Nice bonds with Moon. It feels very natural and sincere. She starts out hating him be then she slowly grows fond of him. Really well done.

Oh so this combines influencers with superpowers, beliefs like followers, likes etc. I thought this was about saving the world from monsters or evil forces. It turns out that the enemies are like officials, company leaders, and famous people who are given the power of fear because of heartache and revenge. If this is the case, it feels like watching a Korean drama, not an anime, if I were a fan of early 2000s anime, I don't like it if it's too far from anime traditions like this. Should I continue watching it!?

i spent half of the episode screaming that.

but anyways, i get the feeling that this is gonna be some kind of metaphor for the internet nowadays and influencers...? i don't know, it's just a hunch.
got a bit confused with the cliffhanger ending up as just a dream but this episode was interesting as worldbuilding. got me thinking if tha whole super hero thing isn't a fake to keep people engaged. it's actually intriguing the way moon - and a little more subtle, nice - got her powers. now i'm more curious about the world and less about these characters, because the pacing is indeed too fast to make us care for these people.

Lin Ling couldn't hold his emotions because he knew he wouldn't see her again. Tried his best to make her stay, but it must have been stressful for Moon too as her life had never been real for the past several years.

With trust being the most important thing in this world, wouldn't media companies be the most significant figure here?

i had a feeling it was a cop out with Moon's death scene but i wish they had stuck with it, they kinda did LOL.
I liked the transitions between 2D and 3D. i don't something about this show doesn't strike me as a great show yet, other than the animation really.
also Am i the only one who thought Nice and that dude were totally boning, like heroes together, come one, there's no way he would show so much emotion cause of that.

now i get why moon didnt fight in ep 1, this episode kinda resolved few issues i had with 1st .. the fight was pretty good even tho i couldnt follow the logic with teleportation

the only thing bugging me rn is why moon was shown ded ,that part now completely forgotten by Ling

the strange guy form the 1st ep gets a cool ass name, god eye!? fr .. to think that i watch kill la kill recently, uzu's ability is named similarly

edit: the lip sync was kinda of weird and the line from moon "not being controlled by people's expectations" smth of that sort was nice
